About this deal

This product claims to be a pore refining serum that helps reduce the look of blemishes (and pores). Also, the formulations is perfect for oily, congested and, obviously, blemish-prone skin. Since there are a couple of claims about this serum, I am going to break them down while describing my experience. Target those stubborn under-the-surface bumps whilst you sleep with this overnight spot treatment formulated with hard-working ingredients to help reduce inflammation and prevent future breakouts.

Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum is a hero for oily, congested and blemish-prone skin.

As always, here we are! At the end of the day, would I recommend the 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc serum by Revolution Skincare? I would, but under determinate circumstances. Though both brands do offer other types of skincare products, let's be honest, we're all here for the serums. It's how DECIEM's The Ordinary made such a name for themselves over the years, and subsequently how Revolution has nabbed some of the spotlight. So let's dive straight in! So to summarise, it balances moisture and oiliness, reduces redness, evens skin tone and can help minimise the appearance of blemishes and pores. Can you see why it’s a favourite? Delivery is on a selected date, you can choose a delivery day of your choice, up to 10 days in advance (Excluding next day delivery. Postcode restrictions apply) The bottles are pretty similar – which happens frequently in skincare – but so are the serums. They are both clear and completely transparent, and either of them has a smell.

Caution: Discontinue use if redness or irritation occurs. Keep out of eyes. For external use only. Do not use with topically applied vitamin C. Vitamin C products should be applied to the skin at an alternate time. How to use: Shake well before use. Apply to a few drops to clean, dry skin. Use morning and evening for best results. SHAKE WELL before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything on top such as moisturiser or night cream. Only use when necessary on active blemishes. Do not apply to eye or lip area. Perfect for blemish-prone skin.Despite it not being my cup of tea when it comes to treating already-existing blemishes, I definitely saw that it helped controlling my breakouts while I was on my period. I usually get a lot of pimples in this period, but this product was a great help!

Welcome to the long-awaited comprehensive guide to The Ordinary vs Revolution Skincare! It has to be said, both lines of products appear to be incredibly similar on first glance, so you may well be wondering which brand is actually best. Niacinamide can be easily integrated into any routine as it is compatible with lots of other powerful ingredients – it works great with alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), retinol, ceramides, peptides, hyaluronic acid and salicylic acids. You should be able to start seeing results within 2–4 weeks. I uploaded pics and from that they recommend based on the severity of my acne stil (after using tret for 6 months) that I change from **0.1% tretinoin to 0.1% Tret, with Clindamycin and Niacinamide mixed in to help inflammation and acne.

Is this worsening expected? I thought an antibiotic and niacinamide wouldn't cause any initial "purge" or whatever. The product in itself worked well and, for the price, I can’t really be mad at it. I think that the bittersweet experience was caused by me expecting something different out of it.
