In " Mama Star", Marco tells Star he loves her while under the memory-erasing influence of the Realm of Magic. In " Here to Help", Star talks to Marco about this, much to his mortification. Marco reveals he's had feelings for Star since the very beginning that slowly grew into love and he tried to suppress it for the sake of their friendship, only for Star to confess her love for him as well. They kiss and begin a romantic relationship, with Star referring to Marco as her boyfriend in " The Tavern at the End of the Multiverse".

In " Junkin' Janna", she has an intolerance towards people being tardy and prefers punctuality, evident by how she complained about the Magic High Commission being late with annoyance. The wand is meant for casting magical spells. The user of the wand can either make up their own spells or recite perfected spells that are written down in the Magic Instruction Book. In other cases, the user can operate the wand without saying spells. Summons blue snails with pink shields, both normal and winged variations, to reach out-of-reach places.

The fourth season follows Star and Marco as they continue their adventures in Mewni and explore new dimensions. However, as things change in the royal palace, Star soon learns that running the kingdom is far more complicated than she thought. Music: Eclipsa displays a talent for singing and playing the guitar in " Total Eclipsa the Moon", " Moon Remembers", " The Ponyhead Show!", " The Monster and the Queen", and " Cornonation". Swim Suit" reveals that Eclipsa doesn't know how to reverse her spells, having never needed to do so before, though she learns how to with help from Star.

In 2019, the season 3 episode, "Booth Buddies", was nominated an Annie Award for "Outstanding Writing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production", and the season 3 finale, "Conquer", was also nominated an Annie Award for "Outstanding Storyboarding in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production".
