About this deal

This is a great design solution that allows the Bodygroomer to effectively and safely cut body hair of various lengths.

It’s a length that works well for me — I like how it looks and because the hair isn’t excessively short, I won’t get any itching or bumps. In practice, this means that you’ll have to keep the groomer at a sharper angle relative to the area you’re trimming so that the first blade can make the initial trimming (and not the foil part). The Bodygroom 7000 or any other Philips groomer with the same shaving head can cut the hair at skin level and do so without nicks (as long as you’re reasonably careful). However, if for some reason you cannot get the BG7030/49 or the BG7040/42, I guess the BG2040 would be the next best thing.Philips Norelco products have adaptors with automatic voltage selection with 100 to 240 volts printed on the adaptor to select. The Bodygroom 7000's unique dual-sided design allows you to effortlessly switch between shaving and trimming. I would have liked 90 minutes of cordless operation or the option to use it with the cord connected to an outlet.

I guess the only downside of the Bodygroom Series 7000 would be that it doesn’t have an extra-long handle attachment, so if you shave your back yourself, you should consider a groomer that comes with such an accessory. I’ve had the older version of this trimmer and it was fantastic, however it got really loud over time as well.

Shave and trim while protecting your skin with the Philips bodygroom plus - even in hard to reach areas.

However, the build quality is solid and having used mine extensively, I can confirm that it is durable and can take a beating. I I know the BG7025 uses the same foil head as as the BG2040, but this model may utilise slightly improved blades. The skin is very thin and sensitive, the hairs often stay flat and it’s a rather tight spot with a slightly concave shape.

And I don’t get any itching and redness afterward which is something it would often happen with other trimmers. So in terms of battery life, the Philips Bodygroom 5000 is not anything special, but again, it is good enough. This is plenty for some quick trims here and there if you’re going on a long weekend away and don’t want to take the charger, too. I’ve been using the Norelco Bodygroom 7000 (BG7030) for two months before writing this review, so I had plenty of time to thoroughly evaluate the battery performance.
