Because the GMMK Pro is a gasket-mount design, it’s supposed to do two things differently than most other mounting styles, which is to provide some flex when typing (for those who like it) and provide a more uniform sound profile amongst the entire board. Disappointingly for gasket fans, there really isn’t any flex. Otherwise, it's a very good keyboard, utility and customisability-wise. It has a very satisfying feel to use, responsive, and has a satisfying sound. I'm sure I cannot add anything that others haven't said better. With its snazzy aluminum design, compact layout, helpful dial and powerful software, the GMMK Pro has a lot going for it . . . at first glance. But, the out-of-the-box experience with rattling stabilizers that don't even return properly, is a huge problem for any keyboard, let alone one with this kind of price tag. After labor-intensive modifications, I was able to fix the problems, but consumers shouldn't be expected to do this kind of surgery and relubing to fix stabilizers that are called the GOAT.Barebones keyboards are supposed to provide a helpful bridge between the simplicity of buying pre-built keyboards and the complexity of building your own unit from scratch. The price you’ll pay to build it to its entirety and the modifications you’ll have to make to it begs the question, “Why buy this?” With its build-quality issues, Glorious does not lay out a nice welcome mat for those looking to get into the hobby of building mechanical keyboards. Overall I'm really pleased with it, and consider it worth the money if you want something that you're going to use heavily. From keycap to macro, the GMMK Pro can be configured just the way you like it, giving you more power for gaming. Complemented with a stylish design that’s built to last, it’s an ultimate peripheral fit to use with any PC. One of the reasons I bought this particular model is that it can be modded in firmware so that the keys do alternative things; this was important to me because I wanted it to be a Mac layout rather than the standard Windows, which means moving the Windows/Command key to a different location amongst other things. I used VIA to do this (you have to install the VIA firmware first, I found that rev 1 worked, rev 2 didn't), which means I can easily change stuff (including the RGB) through a web interface. Handy!

Firstly, some housekeeping: it's called 'white ice' but unless you're pointing a lot of light at it, it's actually silver. Think 2010s-era Apple product silver. Not a deal breaker for me as I use it with a Mac, so it matches, but if you're expecting 'white', it isn't that.
A self-professed keyboard enthusiast with a modest but expanding mechanical keyboard collection, I've also been testing and reviewing keyboards for gaming, productivity, and creative work for years. While this is my first time building a keyboard from scratch, I have been modding my own keebs since 2022. Part of its dynamic 75% layout, the GMMK Pro offers fully customisable RGB lighting. For each of its 84 keys, you'll be met with 16.8 million RGB colours that are presented in multiple modes and animations, also being presented across the signature side lighting panel to make it shine. GLORIOUS GMMK PRO 75% BAREBONE KEYBOARD SPECIFICATIONS: Layout There are a ton of eye-popping, RGB preset animations embedded in the Glorious Core software, including Kamehemeha, which is a Dragon Ball reference, Ping Pong and of course one that’s called Glorious Mode, because it’s beautiful and vibrant. In the end, my typing experience with the Glorious GMMK Pro was good, but I needed to, and I emphasize "needed" to do some work because taking apart the GMMK Pro is not a simple task and if you’re new to the hobby of mechanical keyboards then the immense amount of screws needed to take apart the board and the difficulty lining up the RGB diffuser between the plate and PCB will deter newcomers. Considering that this is a barebones kit, you should not have to take it apart to get a decent experience. The GMMK Pro offers fully customisable RGB lighting with over 16.8 million RGB colours plus multiple modes and animations. With its signature side lighting panels, this keyboard will shine with the multiple effects it has available, making for elegant and immersive gaming sessions.The Glorious GMMK Pro is a fully-modifiable, fully-customizable keyboard that looks great and is solidly-built.
