About this deal

In short, I feel I made a good deal, especially as the salesman in HongKong made me a price I could not turn down. they're probably experiencing what a lot of established, successful organizations experience, a sort of self-reinforcing groupthink. it can happen to anyone, where things are so fabulously successful that dissenting opinions can seem unfounded/paranoid/crazy, especially if the cash keeps rolling in. but a critical mass of voices will be reached, but when the upper reaches of the organization starts to hear these voices, it will be sort of a "duh?!" moment for those of us on the ground. The Canon EOS 77D boasts the complexity of a 45-point auto focus system and great Live View AF performance with it. In fact we particularly love its performance in Live View mode, where it feels as fast and responsive as the latest generation mirrorless cameras.

You have been given a correct answer - it's obvious that DP score just includes the sensor performance as one of measurements. So the scores can be very different, and I cannot see why you or anyone else could find it amazing. But, it's really interesting to know the answer. So, enlighten us all. What kind of shooting only require sensor score? Without any knowledge about AF performance, ergonomic, fps, features, outputs, software, system, battery, weather proof. And even brand. Samsung had very good score, you know. The strange thing is it's supposed to be optically identical to the STM version which is a pretty decent lens optically for a superzoom, certainly it you stop it down a little. It should give nice, moderately sharp images at 18mm & 5.6

Of these points, 27 will support autofocus at f/8 when the body is attached to one of two specific lens/ teleconverter combinations (the Canon 100-400 Mark II with 1.4x III or the Canon 200-400 with 2x III). Any other lens/teleconverter combinations resulting in an aperture of f/8 will only function with the center point. The 80D is the first non-professional EOS body that can autofocus in this situation; previous non-professional bodies could not autofocus if the maximum aperture of an attached lens/teleconverter combination was smaller than f/5.6. are both currently available in the USA via Satellite, over the air (2kHD-maybe) & cable tv, NOT DCI at all (doubtful viewable by any/most displays used in home - PC maybe) !! When shooting raw, I get more highlight alerts than there actually are. When examining the photo in DigitalPhoto Professional I can make most of that go away by simply scrolling down the brightness. And, yes, proper texture appears in the previously highlighted areas: The information was there.

Auto, Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten, White Fluorescent, Flash, Kelvin (2500K– 10000K in 100K steps) But, as a videographer, I would never shoot anything on it. it doesn't have peaking nor zebra nor log profiles. In essence that means that your footage can't be graded significantly in post. Honestly 4K is much less important than the above mentioned tools. So, it's not a problem with your gear, actually. Or with your living. It was only your initial statement. The Canon EOS 77D is powered by a LP-E17 rechargeable lithium ion battery, which is good for up to a maximum 600 shots if using the viewfinder in the main. If you’re always shooting with the LCD in Live View mode, however, then the image count per charge is a rather less impressive 270 shots. Based on these criterion I own: D800E, D810, and 2 D750’s. Plus about 30 Nikkor lenses. Also lots of Hassy stuff. As a DSLR camera, it's a little bigger than the average compact system camera on today's market, but there's no denying that the Canon EOS 80D is a brilliantly built bit of equipment. Gavin has over 30 year experience of writing about photography and television. He is currently the editor of British Photographic Industry News, and previously served as editor of Which Digital Camera and deputy editor of Total Digital Photography. I would love to see a head to head between the 80D and the new Lumix G85... I know they are in different classes but there is enough similar between the 2 to make it a very interesting comparison... especially for someone like me interested in garnering one or the other :D I got this camera in November last year, and I'm happy with it. It's excellent for video which I needed.

Except for some models (and not ML w/ Raw), Canon 2kHD (1080p) is really good 720p video, as good as any !! In this case, the two cameras have exactly the same control layout. Clearly, existing 80D users will find the 90D very familiar to use overall. Gesture, NOT in any picture you ever took well & with any skill - NO, you drank the kool-aid, and lost independent thinking capability - sad !! The 80D is worthwhile if you know you’ll be using manual or semi-manual controls frequently. However, photographers who won’t use those features probably should spend their money on a good lens or camera accessories instead of jumping to the 80D. Personally, having used both the Rebel T7i and the Rebel SL2 (called the 800D and the 200D outside North America) alongside the 80D, I was very impressed by all three cameras and would recommend each of them, depending upon your budget.Share Your Passion Through Images Using The New EOS 80D DSLR Camera And EF-S 18-135mm Nano USM Lens". It has been designed with ergonomics at the forefront of the process - we found the touchscreen responsive and its controls to be logically laid-out to make the most of the abundance of features. Enthusiasts can make the most out of the vari-angle hinge and rapid autofocus system. And did we mention the sheer quality of the images it captures? Your right it's not used domestically, UHD 3840 x 2160 is the 16x9 or TV version of 4K. I guess this is what you refer to as 4KHD ? I bought the 80D as it uses the same batteries and lenses as my 5D3. I got the flat 24mm f/2.8 and the new Sigma Zoom 17-300mm which seemed like the single lens solution for my travels. Time will tell. Eyelevel pentamirror single lens reflex viewfinder offering 100% frame coverage; vari-angle 3-inch LCD with 1,040,000 dots resolution

From bottom to top it seems Canon just isn't as interested in video, letting other manufacturers take a perceived leading position and improving cost/performance ratio as each quarter passes. Canon's "color science" isn't a sell for me, I color correct all my footage anyway, whether it's Canon or not.Compared to its predecessor, the 70D, the Canon 80D adds a few noteworthy features that many photographers will find valuable. In combination with the 80D’s sensor, this enables the numerically superior DSLR to deliver a light sensitivity range from ISO 100-16000, extendable to an equivalent of ISO 25,600. Otherwise the APS-C sensor and resolution boasted by the 80D is a match for its sibling at 24.2 megapixels. Thanks to said sensor, we believe the 80D captures significantly more detail than its 70D predecessor for the majority of its light sensitivity range and that noise is well controlled into the bargain.
