About this deal

The other thing they argued about was money. She had a lot of money. In fact, she had a shitload of money. Despite practically building a hospital in Africa she had barely made a dent in her trust fund. Dylan was a traditional type of guy. He didn’t want her to pay when they went out or buy him drinks, and he went berserk when she tried to replace his ancient Ford Focus for him. This time he sat her down and told her how it made him feel and they reached another compromise. This compromise seemed to involve her easing off on what she bought Is that a yes?’ Frankie wheezed. Dylan set her down and Lou could see his face was flushed and his eyes were wet.

But, despite his huge popularity, Verity had taken over most of the other interviews during the rest of the programme, telling Dermot that Max ‘wasn’t a people person’. I’d loved that episode of Dream Homes even though it always put Nate in a bad mood. He hated Max. Didn’t have any time for “all that eco-design idiocy’. I love you Louise Sands,’ he said softly, the same words he had repeated every morning for three months. He flipped open the small box and took the ring out from inside. Her left hand was lying against his chest, so he lifted it slightly and pushed the ring onto her ring finger. Lou froze for a moment and then held her left hand out in front of her face, blinking rapidly. Her breasts were pushing up against his chest now and her leg had draped itself over his under the duvet, which only served to intensify his alcohol sweats. Dylan wasn’t blind, he knew that a half-naked Lou was most men’s idea of a wet dream, and yes, of course he himself had on occasion had the odd impure thought when it came to her. We found him outside the house,’ Dylan said, his voice tight. ‘He was asleep in the front garden, hidden behind the azalea bush.’Angharad stifled her laughter with some effort; no wonder Alun had liked the boy so much. The beautiful dark-haired man who had his arm around the blonde was not so successful in tamping down his amusement, unashamedly letting out a loud bark of laughter and earning an annoyed look from the vicar.

As proposals went Dylan knew he hadn’t exactly chosen the most exciting setting or the most flowery words, but he had done what he set out to accomplish; the next morning when Lou’s eyes blinked open the fear he’d seen there for the last few weeks was replaced by contentment…with an edge of irritation when she heard the loud banging emanating from the kitchen; his mum was yet to give up her key. Ugh! This book was all over the place. Firstly I’m going to have to disagree that this book which is part of a series, can be read as a stand alone. Ummm no. It got confusing at times when different characters would pop in and I had no idea what was going on.The first sensation that Dylan registered was the warmth under his hand. As he swam up towards full consciousness he also noticed the softness on his face and the delicious smell surrounding him. His head was buried in soft wavy blonde hair with an incredible, yet weirdly familiar, fresh citrusy scent, and as he looked down he saw that his hand was splayed possessively over a toned female stomach.

And omg the H!!! 😡 This moron can only be described as lazy, childish, selfish and a man whore who shows no empathy or true friendship for the h who is supposed to be his best friend. He did manage to do some good grovelling towards the end (after a year time jump - that’s convenient 🙄) but really it was too little too late. Even when they’re together in the epilogue I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. Tom sighed. ‘I wasn’t deliberately going out of my way to trap her Lou. It’s just that she’s been the very definition of hard to get, and the thought of her slipping through my fingers again is – ‘ He was interrupted by the door opening behind Lou, Frankie stood in the frame. Her eyes were still red-rimmed but her tears had dried and the look of fear on her face from earlier was replaced by a look of wonder.Babes,’ he said patiently, ‘you and I both know that the junk in my trunk is most definitely the real deal; you’ve seen it often enough.’ When he got over Frankie he was actually pretty pleased with the dynamic. Mike had a girlfriend from school throughout Uni, and was so loyal and in love with her (they were now married) that he may as well have been a eunuch, so none of the four of them had ever shagged or even snogged. However much Dylan fantasized about sex with Lou he wouldn’t risk the friendship, and to be quite honest she would be a high maintenance nightmare as a girlfriend. He liked quiet, slightly shy, softly spoken women, not obnoxiously posh, brash, foul-mouthed, feisty ball-breakers. Alun’s niece watched the beautiful blonde lean heavily into the handsome dark-haired man, as her uncle’s casket was lowered into the ground. It was unusual nowadays to choose burial rather than a cremation, but Uncle Alun had selected this plot over thirty years ago. Planning for his death was one of his favourite past times. She often got the impression he was just waiting it out, biding his time until the axe finally fell. Another amazing read by Susie Tate. The characters are very well developed and the story is very well written. This is another book I had to force myself to put down. I can't wait for more books by Susie Tate."
