Doing good for others is one of life's little joys. That being said, I recently decided to donate a few hours of my time to Link UP London and help charities with various aspects of their marketing.

Yes to Life empowers people with cancer to make informed decisions about their cancer care options. Families and community leaders have been involved in every step of the new Dhupuma Barker school in Arnhem Land, from lesson-planning to uniforms and lunches. Simply stated, according to House Bill 3, “public agency funds shall not be used for the purpose of obtaining an abortion or paying for the performance of abortion.”Opinion polls show a majority of the voting population in favour of saving Yasuní from deforestation and from contamination of water sources caused by oil extraction. Yet, while most of the presidential candidates support the idea of keeping fossil fuels in the ground, and plan to vote ‘Yes’ to end oil drilling in Yasuní, at the same time they all expressed concerns as to how the economy would survive without the income from the park’s oil reserves. More than one-third of the government’s revenue comes from oil. Mr Albanese said he was hopeful that undecided and “soft No” voters could tune out the “full sweep of misinformation”, citing examples of claims made regarding the Reserve Bank, private land ownership, and the United Nations. Our groups are there to support those typically taking an integrative approach to cancer and navigating this path with all that it can bring; possibility, hope, empowerment but also overwhelm and confusion. Navigating an integrative approach to cancer can include a steep learning curve. We want to empower ourselves with good quality information and evidence to support our decisions and journey. Our ancient continent is home to the world’s oldest living cultures. Recognising this in our Constitution is an inspiring way to celebrate our shared history.

Listening to Indigenous Rangers means sharing in 65,000 years of knowledge and connection to our land and waters. The 1967 referendum gave parliament the power to make laws for Aboriginal people and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be counted in the official figures collected in the census. Of the 62 per cent of overall No voters in RedBridge’s poll, 18 per cent were soft Nos, comprising 13 per cent somewhats and 5 per cent not at alls. Another former Sunderland defender, Brendon Galloway, really struggled at this level during a loan spell on Wearside, how would you summarise his spell with your club?

We have wanted to launch our Yes to Life Wigwam Book Club to support you in this for a while and we’re excited to say that this will be starting in January.

There is obviously a great need for a Book Club discussing books on the subject of taking an integrative approach to cancer and how we can empower ourselves with information. We provide information to guide people with cancer through the confusing options for care and lifestyle choices. Our aim is to help them make informed decisions. We simplify the complex and facilitate access to expert knowledge. At home, we play with a freedom that is a joy to watch. We get forward with pace and in numbers and we’re always a constant threat and with 16,000 in the stadium every week, it can get quite loud when things go our way! The idea of a Voice has been decades in the making. Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have put in a great deal of hard work and goodwill. We invite you to join us to come together to read books (to be decided by the group) that are related to taking an integrative approach to cancer (in the first instance) and to discuss what we are taking from them that is helpful for us.Other nations with similar histories, like Canada and New Zealand, formally recognised their own First Peoples decades ago. In 2017, after many years of work and countless conversations in every part of the country, nearly 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and elders endorsed the Uluru Statement from the Heart. The 30-second spot relies on conservative buzzwords and phrases that are aimed at grabbing viewer attention but are ultimately misleading and inaccurate. Debunking the commercial The ad, which hit airwaves Monday, then transitions to a close-up shot of a baby’s feet, then a toddler blowing out her birthday candles. The ad tells viewers that a “yes” vote is a “reasonable, common sense vote.”

Xavier Hervas, of the Renovación Total (RETO) party, while advocating environmental protection, stressed the importance of expanding Ecuador’s agriculture and tourism sectors, which he argued should have benefited from investment thanks to revenue generated by oil extraction, but that funds had been diverted to benefit individual politicians through corruption. The funds should be invested in productive enterprises, he said, such as in the improvement of oil refining facilities, where alleged corruption had been reported. Nationally, abortion bans appear less popular than before, and more voters are likely to say abortion should be legal in most or all cases. Bans without exceptions for health, rape or incest are especially unpopular —a pattern abortion rights advocates hope to leverage this fall. He will vote ‘Yes’, but will not campaign actively in favour of either position. He thinks that it is important to honour the existing Yasuní oil contracts until they expire in 2024. He wants to ascertain the size of the remaining reserves in Yasuní, which he believes are much less than the 1 billion barrels claimed by former President Correa. His estimate was that the reserves may be half of the reserves announced by Correa.

Under the previous Coalition government, 39% of all grants were being paid out to 589 non-Indigenous corporations, charities and organisations. The Voice is a big idea but not a complicated one.
