About this deal

It’s important to establish a baseline for the general laity to understand the difference between ordinary and extraordinary activity of the devil, and then to further define examples of extraordinary activity. All of us are tempted to sin, which is the easiest way to explain the ordinary activity of Satan. He tends to influence our thoughts with subtle messages we may dismiss as harmless, and then these can be entertained through our emotions and, if we do not rebuke them swiftly, can lead to sin. Other effects that exorcists have noted are marital discord, illness with no natural explanation, the breaking up of friendships, etc, with the purpose of leaving the person isolated.

In the meta-analysis, which was published in November in the journal Frontiers in Psychiatry, the researchers looked at 13 studies of the incubus phenomenon that included nearly 1,800 people. The different studies came from various countries, including Canada, the United States, China, Japan, Italy and Mexico. These spiritual entities are, according to Christian tradition, angels that were cast out of heaven after following their leader, Satan, in rebellion against God. Because of their transgressions, they now roam the earth as they await the final judgment. Which is more dangerous: dismissing the devil’s involvement in the world or attributing too much to the work of the devil?

Is Oppression or Possession?

Continue to ask, believe, trust, and don’t give up. I have been through this. It’s hard but you do have Jesus and with him you can conquer anything. Just know he is with you.

Well, that’s a long story, but here is the short version. Exorcism has been common in the Church from the beginning, as part of being baptized into the Church in the early days, and also for possessed people in general. Yes and so much more even turning our hearts so messed up in real filled with evil negative dark forces energies 😔 Paul’s emphasis is on being able to withstand the devil’s assault. But he also wants to make sure God’s people understand the boundaries of spiritual warfare. Christians aren’t to consider themselves at war with other people. The kingdom of God is in conflict with satanic authorities and the systems of oppression they use to keep people enslaved and downtrodden. One of the key biblical passages on preparing for spiritual warfare was written by Paul. It’s the next part of the verses quoted from Him above: In James 4:7, James said, “resist the devil and he will flee from you.” With Christ in the wilderness, he rebuked the devil three times with Scripture and then told him to leave (Matt 4:1-11). At times, when we minister to someone, we will pray for them, share the Word of God with them, help them worship the Lord in faith, and yet, they won’t experience much victory. We may need to do this multiple times, while enlisting others to fast and pray for their victory as well. Sometimes, deliverance tarries because of our unpreparedness, sometimes because of the oppressed person’s unwillingness to confess and get rid of sin, and other times just because the stronghold is that firmly ingrained in the person’s life. Even then, we should not lose courage. As James said, we must continue to resist the devil and he will flee. And as Paul said, “So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up” (Gal 6:9).Jesus will return in the same way that He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-11). It will be physical and personal, not... read more Can people actually see Jesus today? Is the person who experiences demonic obsession or possession incapable of helping himself, of warding off the demon alone?

Our almighty sovereign God is there, He is right there with you even when it feels like He isn’t! The enemy definitely wants us thinking that God isn’t there, but He is and this is the hardest part to go through! But if you look to Him always, especially in your greatest times of need, you will find He is there and will come through for you, probably when you least expect it! Never cease praying, and never give up!!! That’s what the enemy wants!!!There is strong biblical evidence that a Christian cannot be demon possessed. The question then arises regarding what influence/power a demon can have over a Christian. Many Bible teachers describe demonic influence on a Christian as “demonic oppression” to distinguish it from possession.
