It’s important to establish a baseline for the general laity to understand the difference between ordinary and extraordinary activity of the devil, and then to further define examples of extraordinary activity. All of us are tempted to sin, which is the easiest way to explain the ordinary activity of Satan. He tends to influence our thoughts with subtle messages we may dismiss as harmless, and then these can be entertained through our emotions and, if we do not rebuke them swiftly, can lead to sin. In the meta-analysis, which was published in November in the journal Frontiers in Psychiatry, the researchers looked at 13 studies of the incubus phenomenon that included nearly 1,800 people. The different studies came from various countries, including Canada, the United States, China, Japan, Italy and Mexico. These spiritual entities are, according to Christian tradition, angels that were cast out of heaven after following their leader, Satan, in rebellion against God. Because of their transgressions, they now roam the earth as they await the final judgment. At times, when we minister to someone, we will pray for them, share the Word of God with them, help them worship the Lord in faith, and yet, they won’t experience much victory. We may need to do this multiple times, while enlisting others to fast and pray for their victory as well. Sometimes, deliverance tarries because of our unpreparedness, sometimes because of the oppressed person’s unwillingness to confess and get rid of sin, and other times just because the stronghold is that firmly ingrained in the person’s life. Our almighty sovereign God is there, He is right there with you even when it feels like He isn’t! The enemy definitely wants us thinking that God isn’t there, but He is and this is the hardest part to go through! But if you look to Him always, especially in your greatest times of need, you will find He is there and will come through for you, probably when you least expect it! Never cease praying, and never give up!!! That’s what the enemy wants!!!There is strong biblical evidence that a Christian cannot be demon possessed. The question then arises regarding what influence/power a demon can have over a Christian.
