About this deal
Carhartt Super Dux™ Sherpa Lined Active Jacket – This jacket has a softer outer shell made with a nylon/elastane blend, but the unique thing about this fabric is it is still very durable. The quilted flannel has always been my favorite lining and is one of the warmest linings that Carhartt offers (it is still used in the J140 jacket).
Although the J130 Sandstone Cotton Duck is still tough and can stand up to most work sites, it is not certified water-repellent. It has a wind-resistant and water-repellent shell, and the quilted-flannel lining is the most comfortable lining I have ever worn in any work jacket. Now, even though the difference is simply the outer-shell fabric, that difference has several implications. Other than that, these jackets have the same overall design (front zip, cuffed waist, insulated hood) and have the same type of Carhartt lining (the quilted-flannel lining).
The Heavyweight Traditional Cotton Duck fabric gives you a tough canvas shell that is both water-repellent and wind-resistant. It combines Carhartt’s toughest cotton outer shell (firm cotton duck) with Carhartt’s second warmest lining (quilted-flannel). But if you are just looking for ultra-warm workwear, then Caterpillar does have several options for you to choose from.
But, yes, they do offer an updated version of the J130 jacket, now known as the Loose Fit Washed Duck Insulated Active Jac (style 104050). Step out of your truck ready for wind, light rain and cool temperatures in this men's insulated Carhartt jacket.
