About this deal

Ever since he was a hatchling he was trained and abused by his master to become a perfect war machine, and as a result, he is shown to be a lot like his master, being pure evil and controlling other dragons to please his master. Although being forced by Drago, he does show to be loyal to him by making him ride on him and saving him from falling from high altitude. It is likely that he only obeys him due to the harsh fathering relationship that he has with Drago. Bewilderbeast: Berserker Bewilderbeast • Drago's Bewilderbeast • Vanaheim Bewilderbeast • Valka's Bewilderbeast It is unknown how this Bewilderbeast feels about other members of his kind who can acquire and enjoy peaceful monarchies (at least better than he is able), such as to Valka's Bewilderbeast.

Bewilder beasts are one of the many dragons featured in this mod, and the largest this mod has to offer. [ ] Flightmare: Defender Flightmare • Exotic Flightmare • Flaredawn • Hofferson's Bane • Skystreaker • Trancemare • Viggo's Flightmare According to the How to Train Your Dragon 2 commentary, Drago's Bewilderbeast is dubbed the "Bewilderbad". a full-grown Bewilderbeast swims at incredible speeds and bursts to the surface to surprising, and devastating, effect. When the dragons respond next to the Light Furies, we see a Bewilderbeast that looks EXACTLY like Drago’s Bewilderbeast from HTTYD 2.NOTE: The following was planned for unreleased media. Details may change if the media is published. Ice Breath: Like his kind, Drago's Bewilderbeast is able to unleash a humungous wave of ice that leaves behind massive damage upon freezing and hitting its target. By the time he settles in the Hidden World, his ferocious personality has been rehabilitated and he learns to coexist with all the other dragons, even accepting Toothless as his Alpha.

Valka's Bewilderbeast gains inspiration from a polar bear, says Pierre-Olivier Vincent, the production designer, whereas Drago's was inspired by abused zoo and circus animals. Simon Otto, however, says that the Bewilderbeast is a cross between a mammoth, otter, and regal lion. [1] Windgnasher: Arcane Kulingbiter • Auroara • Bloodtooth Blain • Champion Windgnasher • Chinuke • Defender Windgnasher • Galegrinder • Gnarley • Gustnudger • Ironhide • Squashferatu • Stargust • Vindjakker • Woodland Windgnasher The Bewilderbeast is currently the only dragon species in the franchise to kill a human antagonist onscreen, as one freezes Johann solid with its icy breath. Crimson Goregutter: Bulwark • Grainfield Goregutter • Gruff Goregutter • Magnanimous Martyrium • WapititanAccording to Pierre-Oliver Vincent, this Bewilderbeast is "pure and beautiful, like a polar bear" contrasting to the dark Bewilderbeast's misfortune under Drago's control, depicted as a neurotic, abused, and corrupted creature. Naturally, his mind is always filled with endless pain, grief, desperation, and mostly abysmal rage to everything including his miserable fate. This anger that caused him to target everything may go towards innocent, 'happier' beings, especially other members of his own race that may cause him further envy, loathing, and sorrow. It only makes sense that they would come with the help of their village (who can now most likely all ride dragons) As for the rest the others have certain strengths and certain weaknesses. Look at each one. The skrill is a very formidable competitor, and is very nearly just as powerful as the night fury. Snifflehunch: Emerald Slasher • Pestbud • Primal Snifflehunch • Runter • Scentinel • Seedling Snifflehunch • Snifflestone • Winkling

Ice Breath: Like the rest of his kind, Drago's Bewilderbeast is capable of breathing a massive wave of ice that leaves behind massive damage upon freezing and hitting its target, causing massive damage to the Village of Berk. According to Pierre-Oliver Vincent, Drago's Bewilderbeast is the ultimate counterpart of Valka's Bewilderbeast. This Bewilderbeast is "like those zoo and circus animals that are tortured and forced to 'perform'". Windstriker: Boiling Billows • Chinooker • Defender Windstriker • Galesplitter • Grim Whirlwaft • Retired Windstriker • Snaggletooth • Winged Warden

In the end of How To Train Your Dragon 2, when Toothless defeats the Bewilderbeast, he peacefully bows and retreats underwater. In How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, he bows down to Toothless and accepts him as the alpha, thus is no longer an enemy to Berk. So to answer your question of why isn't that bewilderbeast in charge? Because he lost his alpha status to Toothless. It is possible that Drago's Bewilderbeast was originally to play a larger role in the third film, as Drago was meant to return and be redeemed in an earlier script. Valka's Bewilderbeast has been noble and diligent long enough to create a fine kingdom of his own to provide a heavenly sanctuary to local dragons. At some point in the past (15 years before the first film), this Bewilderbeast came across Valka. It is unclear whether their first encounter was before the creation of the nest. If Valka met the dragon before the nest was created, it means that she could have contributed to assisting the great dragon in doing so.

Thunderdrum: Bam • Bing • Bludcrest • Boom • Champerone • Defender Thunderdrum • Earsplitter • Lil Lullaby • Reef Thunderdrum • Shifty Murklurker • Tectonic Thunderdrum • Thornado • Thunderdolt • Warcry • Waveshaker • Whirlwing • Wingburst At the apex of that chain of command rules an exceedingly rare alpha dragon to which all others bow — the Bewilderbeast. However, Bewilderbeasts are not born to that alpha status; it is earned through combat, vigilance, and most importantly, a desire to protect the dragons and all other creatures in its nest. Fortunately for Bewilderbeasts, there are few other dragons in the world that can match their intimidating stature and ever hope to compete for the designation of "king of all dragons". The most notable feature above all is that this individual is so warm in heart and compassionate to smaller races (dragons and humans), it is thus an ideal king to all. Under his monarchy, every dragon seemingly spends a peaceful life, even baby dragons are not afraid of playing on the face of the giant dragon and are very attached to him. This Bewilderbeast also welcomes new faces (dragon refugees saved by Valka) to his nest without hesitation or hostility.

My guess is the bewilderbeast drago has is like a chained slave, and the one Hiccup has is more like a bonded ally that his mother helps train or something. In Dragons: Rise of Berk, a Bewilderbeast is added to the game, along with other Legendary dragons. Despite having the same coloring as Valka's, it is unlikely to be the same one, being deceased at this point. The dark Bewilderbeast's behavior is consistent with that of an abused animal, never acting without its master's command from fear of punishment, and lashing out at anything that approaches as it has learned to associate approach with pain. Large Shadow Wing: Alpha Shadow • Dawnstar • Grim Gamper • Marooned Greezer • Smog-bomber • Snogglewing • Soaring Proudheart • Splashboomer Snow Wraith: Coldreign • Firntom • Frostfang • Frostfright's Big Bro • Frostfright's Lil Sis • Furtive Fleetsleet • Glazier • Gothi's Frostfright • Skrill Chiller • Wild Wraith • Wood Wraith
