About this deal

We noted that while the recipes included with the machine work well, we wouldn’t reach for the Hamilton Beach HomeBaker for more involved baking projects (like those you might find in your favorite bread cookbooks). Plus, Hamilton Beach recently released a newer model of this machine that we have yet to test, with all of the same versatile baking modes packed into an easy-to-program digital display. With a large LCD screen, easy-to-clean components, and features that support baking far more than just your basic loaf of white bread, this is a great choice for experienced bakers who don't want to sacrifice quality for convenience. A complete set of 10″ x 16″ magnetic dry-erase menu/dinner planner for your refrigerator, one smaller whiteboard for grocery list, and 8 multicolor markers. The only well-performing bread machine we tested that had two kneading paddles was the Zojirushi Home Bakery Virtuoso Plus, which proved necessary due to its elongated pan.

Today’s bread machines have come a long way from the early days, especially when it comes to appealing to modern dietary restrictions. Firstly, you have complete control over the ingredients, ensuring that your bread is free from preservatives and additives. From the moment you unpack this impressive bread machine, you’ll embark on a culinary journey filled with delectable aromas, mouthwatering flavors, and a sense of accomplishment. Simple setting of bread type and delay time, and you can enjoy the aroma of bread and the delicious breakfast. KBS bread machine's accessories include: Paddle*2,Extra long heat resistant mitt,MeasuringCup/Spoon,Hook,etc.We loved how easy this machine was to use, including its automatic add-in feature and its straightforward display and settings. Are there specific automatic settings you’d prefer your bread maker to provide, or do you want to be able to tweak the kneading and baking period to meet the needs of your own recipes? Ultimately, many of the machines we tested produced an acceptable loaf of bread, and it’s likely with more time dedicated to each machine, slight recipe adjustments would likely improve the quality of loaves. For a lot of home cooks, there’s something really appealing about adding your ingredients, pressing go, and lifting out a fresh loaf without having to spend time kneading or turning on your oven.

Stainless steel for long-lasting durability, rust-proof, elegant black exterior, and tempered glass cover make the bread maker more like a work of art, blend in well with any kitchen décor, compact small footprint design perfect for any counter, saving space. If those types of features are important to you, then you'll want to pay close attention to what settings your machine offers and whether or not they can be adjusted manually. Some modems and computers recommend a power-off for at least 15 seconds to wipe any program out of the buffer. We added mini chocolate chips to our recipe, and it did a good job of distributing them evenly throughout our bread. Finally, we cleaned each machine according to the manufacturer's instructions, observing how much dough or baked bread was left behind on the paddles, whether there was any flour scattered throughout the machine, how difficult it was to take apart, and whether its parts were dishwasher-safe.Some bread makers do better than others at this, based primarily on the way the machine distributes heat.

Some of the other factors we looked for during testing included what settings the machines provided, the consistency of their performance, their versatility, and how easy they were to use. The crusts were remarkably consistent, with just minor color differentiation between the edges and centers of each side. Because the kneading paddles are left under the dough during proofing and baking, you either end up with a paddle-shaped hole or the paddle itself stuck in the loaf. It’s an opportunity to pass down family recipes, create new traditions, and create lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come. Even the fold-down paddles still left big indents, so no machine had a true advantage with clean-up. Some of the wording is unclear and leaves too much unsaid — such as what kind of yeast is "yeast powder" and what is "pure milk"? Including more additional accessories: Ceramic Pan, Kitchen Glove, Measuring Cup, Measuring Spoon, Hook, User Manual, more Recipes and Other Versatile Accessories. However, if you're hoping to make some gluten-free bread or yeast-free cakes, the KBS Large could have done better in both of these areas and comes with very limited recipes, leaving you to experiment on your own.

Even though our test kitchen was 66ºF, the loaves were proofed between 82° to 92ºF, depending on the settings of each machine, and stayed there for two hours throughout their multiple rise stages. Elevate your baking endeavors and unlock the wonders of homemade bread with the KBS Large 17-in-1 Bread Machine. Cuisinart 2-Pound Convection Bread Maker: This machine also struggled to thoroughly incorporate all of the dry ingredients. We also liked the pauses in the Cuisinart’s kneading cycles, which allowed the dough to fully hydrate and build stronger gluten strands. What we didn’t like: Even though this machine advertises a 2-pound capacity, we found that larger loaves were very tall, which made them harder to slice and more awkward to eat.
