About this deal

The 3.5” IPS display runs at a 640×480 resolution at 4:3 aspect ratio which is perfect for retro gaming. The RG35XX display looks bright and colourful and not so small it is hard to see any detail. HDMI output to a monitor or TV is supported via the Mini HDMI port found on the top of the retro gaming handheld, it also upscales your games to 720P on your big screen. We finish our RG35XX review with our thoughts on the emulator handheld and is it worth buying compared to the Miyoo Mini. We need to keep in mind that the RG35XX is a budget retro handheld, with most other handhelds costing double the price of this one. So let’s go over what we liked and didn’t like. The RG35XX features the Actions ATM7039S quad core processor running up to 1.6GHz with a quad core PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. Combined they provide enough performance for all 4 th generation gaming consoles and some newer ones. The retro gaming handheld comes with 256MB DDR3 RAM which is more than enough for the OS and emulator for the gaming consoles it supports.

We believe partnering with other likeminded companies is a great way to help each other out and ultimately make products that are better for the end consumer. We have many distributors and partners around the globe who sell RetroSix products, you can find them by simply searching for "RetroSix Country Name" such as "RetroSix Germany" in google in your country for top results. And it is much the same for the Master System, all the games I tried worked fine with no issues at all. PlayStation 1 PlayStation 1 Emulation So many things these days are mass produced, not designed to last, and make as cheap as possible for as much money as possible. We started RetroSix not as a mass market business, instead with the aim of perfection. Recreating moulds of original shells, casting them from quality ABS, redesigning hardware such as power supplies, USB-C, audio and more, to upgrade your consoles to the highest quality available. No cheap junk sold for profit. There is an included 64GB Micro SD card with the RG35XX which contains the Linux based operating system and game storage. A second Micro SD card up to 512GB can be used for additional game storage on the retro gaming handheld. The RG35XX now also supports dual OS, allowing you to either use the official OS or GarlicOSI found myself levitating towards the best Gameboy Advance games on here, the 4:3 display helped immerse myself into the world of Pokemon, and although the device is small, the screen feels big compared to the overall real estate. RetroSix is a small team of people who have been in the gaming industry and retail business since 2013, and sold consoles, controllers and even designed our own controllers and consoles. With the 2600mAh rechargeable battery inside the retro gaming handheld, you get up to 5 hours of battery life depending on the emulator you are playing.

Commodore set ( vice c64, c128, plus4, etc.): there was a big update from the upstream project (v3.7 on Feb 12), but other than that mostly bug fixes. TIC-80 ( tic80): It is actively developed and the changelog is just too big, the most noticeable is HUGE performance improvement. I used bunnymark snd crapmark, benchmarks, and here are some results:

Putting that expertise to good use, we decided to start RetroSix; a small team of people passionate about retro gaming, and restoring original consoles to like-new, adding our own twist and style to them and in general bringing a modern twist to retro. Combined with a quad-core PowerVR SGX544MP GPU, it is as powerful as the other 4th generation gaming consoles. The 256MB DDR3 RAM is more than enough for the OS and emulator for the gaming consoles it supports.

RG35XX Review - Better than the Miyoo Mini budget retro

The RG35XX is an amazing budget retro gaming handheld that plays many of your favourite classic consoles. Anbernic RG35XX is powered by an Actions ATM7039S 4-core processor, allowing you to play most of the retro games on its 3.5” IPS display. It is a mini handheld that can emulate PS1, CPS, FBA, NEOGEO, GBA, GBC, etc. games and comes at a competitive price. It’s not the most powerful handheld out there, but what it does come with plays very well indeed.

There are sixteen classic gaming systems supported on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld. You can relive or discover amazing games up to the fourth generation of consoles, also including Arcade and PS1. Added support to preserve volume level between sessions, enabled by default. Set “save-volume=no” in line 50 of the “./mplayer/config” file if you want to turn it off. But emulation on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld is overall pretty good, it plays PlayStation 1 with no apparent issues. However, I would have liked to have seen if frame skipping is definitely used on some of the emulators, and the option to disable it. It can be annoying seeing normal and sped up character movements in games. RG35XX or Miyoo Mini?

Atari 800 ( Atari800): Added savestate support, Rewind support, Disc Control menu (Supports Disks, Tapes, and M3U files), fixes for control issues, etc.It typically comes pre-loaded cutting out the fuss of having to install your own ROMs, it has a nice 3.5” screen opening it up to older adults who don’t want tiny screens, it lasts a good couple of hours on a single charge and the menus are incredibly to understand, making it a good started device for children. The best Playstation 1 games also had very little issues, it ran as it should and the 3.5” screen did well, although some text were a little small in some games, but that’s it really. Overall Opinion Pricing it this low saved them in many ways, and although it’s not a handheld that I would personally buy but it’s certainly one I can recommend to those wanting to buy their first handheld emulator. The 2100 mAh battery which Anbernic claims lasts up to 5 hours. In our tests with Tekken 3 on the PS1 we got 3 hours 3 minutes which is very good. Less demanding systems should be closer to the 5 hour mark. RG35XX OS & UI Overview
