About this deal

The bass on this album is a killer. I haven’t listened to a bass sound that menacing, violent and lethal since The Cure’s Disintegration. Besides the songs being quite different from each other, they all form a coherent and impressive whole.

amp;amp;lt;a href="http://theflenser.bandcamp.com/album/deathconsciousness">Deathconsciousness by Have a Nice Life</a> BARRETT Last week, [my son and I] were at the grocery store and he's screaming, "I see the janitor at my school!" That's the biggest deal to him. Have A Nice Life, has, at separate times during this recording, included Thao, Brian, Will and Cody. Bleeping noises from what may well be a metronome wake the listener up from this pit and in comes the in comes the instrumentally heavy doom-inspired 'There Is No Food', as it parts bringing disc one, 'The Plow That Broke The Plains' to a conclusion.SO YOU'RE WRITING NEW MATERIAL. I'M CURIOUS: HAS THE APPROACH TO CREATING THESE CATHARTIC MOMENTS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS? MACUGA I'm not the same Luddite that I used to be, but the difference is I'm still very much giving myself an education in this stuff. Barrett said, "We saw an Italian magazine put it on the best albums of the year list next to Portishead and Meshuggah and thought, 'Oh god, they think we’re a real band!'" Retrieved 2021-01-11.Record comes in a gatefold and (unlike previous editions) features a glossy finish with poly-lined inner sleeves MACUGA I think looking at or listening to what I've been doing lately, there's a new structural muse I've been following. It's kind of like the Mulholland Drive of song structures, where it'll just be something completely different with a tenuous thematic link for the second half of the song, but the catharsis comes from a complete rug pull. Like it almost shouldn't even be the same song because it's an abrupt turn. It follows a similar feeling in an abstract way. It's something I've been experimenting with, like how do I get to a different place by going to a very different place?
