It also uses the standard Boss effects pedal 9v power (or USB power) which is super convenient for us guitar players who have lots of these laying around (often with extra long cables). The assignable pads, meanwhile, can be used for triggering sounds and tweaking the effects. Bottom line, I'm really surprised Boss missed the opportunity with this and question if it should carry the Boss name. Do I love it? Yes, I kept it. I still recommend it for solo singing guitarists.
