I had a laugh at how Norva constantly just shut off when Mark was near. Haha, I remember that when I was her age and the boy of my dreams would walk by. Mehsi.exe has died. I’m surprised Mark was on drugs.I’d like to start a new detective agency, but there isn’t much crime around. How they were set on one person after a while. And then discounted others because of an emotional bond. That is like the one rule in mystery stuff, never trust anyone. Everyone can have done it. Technology replaces old fashioned detective notebooks; these two sassy sisters are adept at creating online files and using apps to gather their evidence! Second, the characters are woefully one-dimensional, their dialogue sounds unnatural - here's a line from a teenage character: "...Anyway, be glad I went because it was flames and fire. Big. Secondly, I did text you, innit. But you think you're all that. Leaving me on read. I see you." Woof. What teenager do you know speaks like this? Speaking of bad character writing, literally any character Nik questions in the story seem to be more than willing to spout any information they have right off the bat! Nik asks where they last seen the victim, they just tell her everything - I was here, then there, then I went to bed, anyway, see you later, say hi to your Dad for me etc. Where's the investigating, the unforgiving search for answers? Characters should be complex: they should lie, conceal, make themselves unavailable so the mystery is compelling. This book was just two kids walking around their estate asking any and every question hoping someone gives them something. I know they're kids but if a murder has just happened, shouldn't there be more suspense, more discomfort? Shouldn't they look for clues instead of asking for them? a b c Russell, Anna (5 May 2016). I love this book because it has everything- mystery, murder, action and excitement. I love it! My fave character is probably Norva, because of how funny she was, but I also really lked Empfohlen wird „Highrise Mystery“ für Mädchen und Jungen ab 12 Jahren und dieser Empfehlung schließe ich mich an. One neutral. That is Katie. I really liked Katie.. but how did she become a police officer?
