About this deal

No spoilers here! We do know that Pa Salt is the elusive and adored adoptive father of the seven sisters. The series has gradually revealed tantalising clues to seven sisters' heritage and origins, culminating in this eighth and final book. To get to the bottom of who Pa Salt really is, you'll have to read Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt. We promise that all will be revealed and you won't be disappointed. What is Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt about?

Just finished Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt.......or more accurately I've just finished ugly crying after finishing A:TSoPS! We can now confirm that Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt will be published around the world in spring 2023, co-written by Harry Whittaker. Lucinda and Harry worked closely together on The Guardian Angels series for children. Harry writes: ‘Mum has passed on the secrets of the series, and I will keep my promise to her in sharing them with her loyal readers. Rest assured that in spring 2023, the whole world will know just who Pa Salt is and why he adopted the sisters.’ We thank those of you who have allowed us the space to grieve, and those who have donated so generously to Mary’s Meals . And the one time we hear Bo speak more than a few short words, it is about the Northern Lights, while on a voyage to see the Seven Sisters waterfall: Hola, señor,’ Angelina smiled her brightest smile. ‘I see hand?’ she asked in English. ‘Then I tell you about your daughter.’My friend, I saw them! I saw the miracle! And its majesty was enough to convince the most fervent non-believer in a higher power. The colours . . . green, yellow, blue . . . the entire sky was lit with radiance! I . . .’ Bo choked on his words, then recovered himself. His eyes glistening with unshed tears, he reached out his arms to Pip and clasped him in a hug. ‘Thank you,’ he said. ‘Thank you.’

In November 1936 we meet a boy called Bo, who is studying at the Leipzig Royal Conservatory for Music with his girlfriend Elle, and his friends Pip and Karine. Bo is a quiet and well-mannered musician. We know very little about him except that he is called Bo after the cello bow he takes with him everywhere. If he is Pa Salt and the same French orphan, that makes him 16, which is young, but not completely unheard of for students and the Conservatory at the time. The hints pointing towards him being Pa Salt include: This is a very very special series, one I will never forget; I can’t ever imagine finding another that will live up to it. The perfect end to a perfect series… Paris. A boy is found, moments from death, and taken in by a kindly family. Gentle, precocious, talented, he flourishes in his new home, and the family show him a life he hadn't dreamed possible. But he refuses to speak a word about who he really is. They could, should have had one of those shallow talks with the guy, pulled him in a group hug and forgive him. That would have made a way more satisfactory end. Maia: “I just had the most incredible dream! Speaking of which, do you know why Pa Salt decided to adopt us all?”

I rarely shed a tear when reading novels, but confess this is one book that had me sobbing at the end. I think the culmination of this much-loved series coming to a close, the passing of the author before the end and the final parting scene which had all the feels got me!
