Overall we love both of the Melissa & Doug toys we’ve tried. I think they are more unique and novel compared to other similar toys. Everything is all high quality and looks as though they will last for lots of Summer adventures. The prices are really good value for money for just how lovely these toys are. My children will enjoy these for years to come. Storytelling: Do you remember those days when you build a fortress with just the chairs, bed sheets, and the pillow. You sit in between them and start telling stories. Using a flashlight during the night time to tell horror stories can be a great idea. Many children love this kind of play.

The torch requires two AA batteries (which were not included) and I liked that as well as a screw on the outside and needing to twist it open there’s an added screw inside too that needs taking out to fit the batteries giving me peace of mind that little fingers can’t accidentally get to the batteries inside. Also I didn’t need to worry about my little boy shining it at any faces by accident as the light itself isn’t particularly bright. It’s great for playing over the Summer for dens, evening walks or when we go camping! Overall I think this is a cute, novelty torch ideal for very young children.
