It's an act of self-care and will reflect in the way that you see both yourself and the world. How to get the most out of your wellness journal There are several benefits to starting a wellness journal, with studies indicating that journaling can be a remedy for some of the challenges we face in modern-day life. What do you want to write about? What’s going on? How do you feel? What are you thinking about? What do you want? Name it.

Reflecting and writing thoughts out onto paper can help promote a clearer mind. Whether it’s the fact that you take time out of your day all for your own personal gain or monitor your meals, sleep and goals, the whole approach is understanding your mind and body.

The final tab in my health journal is Journaling. This section is where I express how I’m feeling using longer form journaling. I can write about my health, moods and energy levels and expand on my daily notes from the Events section. Look for patterns between diet, quality of sleep, stress, exercise, the events of your day and more. How are they affecting your health and wellbeing? For example, were you more tired during the week you missed your exercise sessions? Or did you exerience recurring headaches when you ate take-out too often? These insights can help you make little changes that will improve how you feel every day. Wellness planners are all about you. Being honest with yourself is the only way a wellness planner can work to your advantage. Start by analysing where you’re currently at, and where you would like to be in the near or far future. A wellness planner is as personal as it gets, and during the process, you’ll find you may even learn more about yourself. Writing about your challenges and achievements can drive you towards your goals, helping you bring your vision to life

Within the planning section, I keep a monthly view calendar. The monthly calendar is where I plan health related appointments and events. Review or reflect on it. Close your eyes. Take three deep breaths. Focus. You can start with ‘I feel’ or ‘today’… When is the last time you wrote something just for you? Something tangible, on an actual piece of paper, for your eyes only? Something that required critical thought and self-exploration? This journal contains tonnes of info about the incredible natural treatments that are available to help us heal.
