About this deal

So unlike the more genre themed Now sets, there will be something to love as much as there is something to loathe on a compilation like this. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. When purchasing the two channels, Mushroom TV agreed that Channel U and Fizz TV should be rebranded.

Given that the concept of the 12" version was born during the mid-to-late 1970s, it seems fitting that this four-disc trawl through extended mixes of the era leans heavily on classic disco cuts. Rewind to a time of big hair, outrageous makeup and platform shoes… NOW 70s Glam Pop is a 4-disc compilation features the greatest gems of this genre, including Queen, Abba, Wizzard and many more! Another massive, rarely played today hit is David Soul's "Silver Lady", and any compilation that includes the wonderful "Silly Games" by Janet Kay, the one-hit wonders Marshall Hain with their Rhodes piano driven "Dancing In The City", plus a song that sound-tracked my childhood, Mungo Jerry's "In The Summertime", is doing ok by me.Five records later, The Buggles‘ ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ has a similar role, anticipating the 1980s. In the edit page, go to the 'Metadata' tab and add your Juno artist, label or release page for listeners to purchase your release / releases. As well as picking up litter on Wimbledon Common, The Wombles were the pop sensations of 1974, and ‘The Wombling Song’ kicks the last disc off – Boney M. Village People, Hot Chocolate and 10cc follow – as does the second featured track from ABBA, ‘SOS’, and Terry Jacks’ No.

The TV series ran for six episodes and focused on the misadventures of three young MCs trying to break into the music game, but often ending up worse off than when they started. Disc one tracks include the original 12-inch version of ‘Are You Ready For Love’ by Elton John, the rare long version of Wings’ non-album single ‘Goodnight Tonight’ (both 1979) and the seven-minute cut of Cliff Richard’s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ and the 12″ mix of ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’, and the full length version of The B-52s’ classic ‘Rock Lobster’.The 30-minute show gave its audience the unique opportunity to see the real lives of footballers off the pitch and featured Premier League football stars including Jermain Defoe and Jermaine Pennant. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The collection closes with three of the greatest anthems to evolve from the collision of amazing Soul vocals and a Disco dance-floor: Diana Ross with the 12” Version of ‘Love Hangover’, Gloria Gaynor’s timeless ‘I Will Survive’, and signing off with ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ with the legendary vocals of Thelma Houston.

This 4 disc set covers so many styles, from a decade that switched between rock and roll revival, reggae, teenybop, 60s nostalgia, disco and new wave, plus plenty more to boot. Each record has a sleeve with a front cover featuring different a kitsch design element of the era and has annotated track listings on the rear with bullet-pointed facts/info about each song. Missing on this compilation is DAN HARTMAN's long version of " INSTANT REPLAY ( 8:19 ) , although it is included on the expanded version of his album " INSTANT REPLAY ".

All discs play correctly and it is nice to hear some of those tunes you had forgotten about from many years ago. Mull Of Kintyre’ from Wings makes the perfect song to conclude our journey through the pop goldmine of the 1970s. From 20 November 2019 [21] until 27 December 2019, Now 80s used Total Country's slot since the slot that is normally used for Now 80s was used for Now Christmas, efficiently ceasing the channel's broadcast in the process. My only reason for not giving 5 stars, as is happening quite often, the manufacturers are including re-recordings of the hits, not original releases . Channel U commissioned the first ' grime comedy', [5] an animated adult sitcom named The Booo Krooo.
