Once your final coat is dry, you’ll be able to clean your wood just like normal. Make sure to clean up any dirt or grit that could cause damage to the finish. Make sure your room is warm and well ventilated. Open a door or window if you need to and don’t forget to wear a mask when you’re sanding wood!

Once your varnish is dry, you can look after your wood as normal. The application pad can just be cleaned in warm soapy water. Varnish your interior wood in next to no time at all and give it diamond hard protection. Easy to use, dries in just 20 minutes and will protect your wood while making it look great too. Give your wooden furniture and skirting boards a beautiful natural finish as well as diamond hard protection. Our interior varnish dries in only 20 minutes so it won’t leave your wood out of action for too long. If you’re happy with how it looks, apply an even layer of the varnish painting in the direction of the woodgrain. Wait one hour for the coat to dry. You will need two to three coats for complete coverage and protection.Give the surface a good wipe down with a cloth and white spirit to remove wax, grease, dirt and oil. If you’re happy with how it looks after two coats, you can stop there. Otherwise wait an hour and apply the third. Ronseal Diamond hard Medium oak Satin Wood varnish, 750ml

You can use this product on bare of previously varnished wood but it’s not suitable for painted wood. Test the colour on a hidden patch to make sure you’re happy with it. It may darken your wood slightly but it should bring out its natural colour.
