It's a delightful book to read aloud for the rhythm, flow and lyrical prose. You could not go wrong buying this book for a child or else sharing it with your own. I have not read it in a while but remember many parts by heart, the sign of a well written book! The ending is especially lovely, with peaceful children asleep in a huge old bed, after great adventures.
