Marvel’s Midnight Suns introduces The Hunter – a bespoke character that Firaxis Games designed with Marvel – who has been resurrected by the other Midnight Suns to help in the battle against Lilith. By constructing each deck throughout the course of your campaign, you can re-create the Big Personalities of the Marvel universe: Spider Man constricts foes with his bind attacks while Blade inflicts large amounts of bleed damage, to name a couple. On the opposing side, the Midnight Suns are a group of young misfits led by a veteran hero simply named Caretaker. They’re belittled and pushed aside by the senior heores despite being better versed in the kind of magic-based danger Lilith brings to the table, but they hold the keys to Midnight Suns’ best stories.

Hopefully some bug-squashing will paint it in a better light in future, and I’m genuinely intrigued how the DLC characters planned will be integrated into this already chunky story.

With Lilith’s horde and Hydra’s army united, they certainly pose a dangerous threat to the world, and Lilith’s ability to possess and transform characters into demonic, fallen versions is a key part of the story. When we award the Polygon Recommends badge, it’s because we believe the recipient is uniquely thought-provoking, entertaining, inventive, or fun — and worth fitting into your schedule. The Hunter also has their own ‘Balance’ mechanic which grants players different rewards based on whether they follow a Light or Dark path – Balance is determined by dialogue responses in conversations and what types of Hunter cards you use in combat. While there's no official fix as of this article, many fans have taken it upon themselves to address these issues and thankfully, there appears to be a very easy fix.

It’s balanced beautifully, and I constantly felt the desire to learn more about where the stories being told were going. You get three card plays per round and are dealt random cards from the decks you’ve built for each character in your three-person squad. Having been resurrected by their surrogate mother and keeper of the Midnight Suns, Caretaker, it’s up to them to lead a fractured team of heroes in a war against demonkind. Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme is a prime support character and has some fantastic cards that enhance the team and generate a lot of Heroism for those powerful Heroic Cards. In Midnight Suns, the world is in peril once more when the nefarious Hydra decides to resurrect a demonic force known as Lilith, who then sets about enslaving the organisation to further her own goals of releasing the ancient God Cthon.You don’t play a game like Marvel’s Midnight Suns for the graphics, but the disparity when it comes to them throughout the game is jarring – even while using a settings benchmark test– on PC. It’s impossible to dedicate time to all of the abbey-goers, so it becomes a tough decision regarding who to cozy up and trade war stories with.
