About this deal

Pero lo que se puso a hacer fue a contarle todo su plan malvado y responderle preguntas a lo menso gastando tiempo. I really liked the protagonist we had in Jess and felt like she had amazing potential, but I’m still undecided on whether the book brought out her true character well.

Night Mayor Franklefink has vanished from the Transylvanian Express - and it's up to you to solve the case! When Hugh’s long-term relationship with Queen Bee Millie erupts, he and Clem are finally an official item, much to the disgust of Jess who cannot understand what her friend sees in the spoilt trust-fund football star.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publishers for the early copy of this book to read and review! TRIGGER WARNINGS:violence, blood depiction, lung condition, death of a mother (in the past), death of a father, gun violence. Author Guy Bass introduces SCRAP, about one robot who tried to protect the humans on his planet against an army of robots. Overall, despite my excitement around the plot and how fast paced the story managed to be, I still finished this feeling overwhelmingly neutral. Set at a boarding school with a secret society is already a recipe for success, but add mystery and tension, and the story takes on a whole new level.

Luckily, I had a few friends who had gone to boarding school, or worked in a boarding school, and were willing to let me pick their brains. And he’ll discover that not everything is quite what it seems under the mayor’s harsh leadership I really enjoyed Pax and the Missing Head. Its been such a long time since I read a murder mystery where I haven't outrightly correctly predicted the murderer. Millicent Cordelia Calthrope-Newton-Rose, que pensó que era una de mis muñecas de infancia y decidió colocarse el nombre más extraño e innecesariamente largo que encontró. With time running out, Jess knows if she doesn't solve this mystery, she'll finally have something in common with Hugh Henry. All the characters are developed amazingly and I particularly enjoyed reading from Jess's perspective because of the writing style and unique voice.

The writing in this one is absolutely incredible, the plot was easy to follow, the murderer is easy enough to guess but not too easy that it ruins the fun, the characters were well developed and relatable and overall this book is a really great read. thrillers/ There was a plot twist at the very end I didn’t see coming that mildly shocked me, but all in all it all felt a little lacklustre unfortunately.I liked how well thought through the plot and the story twists were and how everything came together in the end. There are dead ends, red herrings and untrustworthy characters, as well as prep, lacrosse practices and shared dorms. I’ve just finished reading Daughter of Darkness by Katherine and Elizabeth Corr, which is a YA fantasy – it’s inspired by Greek mythology, and it’s super original. Overall, This Book Kills was, in actuality, one of the best YA Mystery books I’ve read (and I’ve read a fair few.

There were so many different elements all tied up together that it was hard to work out what was connected to what and what was just a red herring. La historia se cuenta a través del diario de terapia de Jess, así que al principio ya sabemos que ella anda vivita y coleando a pesar de las amenazas de muerte, lo que no ayuda a generar tensión mientras vamos leyendo lo que le sucede. For a character so intelligent and self aware, it didn’t make sense to me that Jess struggled to put such obvious clues together in the book. You can’t close your eyes and then claim ignorance – people who let bad stuff happen are just as bad as the people who do bad stuff. Ravena Guron does a masterful job in creating a stellar debut not only about murder, but about toxic friendships, white privilege, poverty, and growing into your own.Jess finds herself caught up in the middle of it and with soon to be friends begins an investigation of her own to find out what happened and keep her space at the school.
