About this deal

Don’t worry if your first coat does not completely cover, and a little of the surface colour remains visible. This can be sorted with the next coat. If you try to continue working the paint as is starts to dry, it can lead to an uneven textured finish. Let the paint dry for 1-2 hours, depending on the conditions and instruction on the tin. Step 3: Apply A Second Coat There are 18 eye-catching colours to choose from in The Lazy Range, including the warm and inviting pink and beige confection, Nougat, the rich and juicy purple of Plum Pudding, and the versatile Moody Blue, which can look either bright or brooding depending on what you choose to pair it with. Safe and easy to use All the paints are tested to high safety standards, and are solvent and VOC free. They don’t have a nasty odour when you’re working with them, making them easier to work with indoors, and the low toxicity means they be painted onto children’s toys and cribs. Frenchic produces a wide range of paints and accessories, allowing their range to be used across a building – both inside and outside. While they manufacture several finishing options, Frenchic does not produce gloss paints. Original Artisan Range

Water-based with minimal VOCs and virtually no odour, our paint is UKCA and EN71-3 certified, meaning it is safe for use on children’s toys. Every range is self-priming and simple to use to help you achieve your decorating goals. Simply prepare your surface, then paint. Frenchic is ideal for wood, laminate, uPVC and so much more! Use a paint tray to coat the roller, ensuring your roller is nice and evenly loaded. Craig’s tip is to start painting in the middle of the top and to work outwards. Keep it light because exerting firm pressure can cause rollers to skid, particularly on the first coat, leading to an uneven texture. Watch out for any excess paint sitting on the edges – you can smooth this with a paintbrush if necessary. Finish off with long, even strokes in the direction of the grain. Which Paint Should I Use? Most often, the top of a piece is wider and flatter than the rest. This means it can be helpful to use a small roller which can speed things up, especially if you only have smaller brushes. Frensheen: This is a powder that can be added to topcoats or waxes to give a metallic sheen. This can be a great choice for decorative elements.

Paint

Smaller brushes will take care of the narrow or fiddly bits, such as chair spindles or table legs. Larger brushes or a small roller will rapidly cover the larger areas, such as the tabletop. A ready prepared piece of furniture – see our advice and video on how to prepare your furniture for painting. Not all chalk paint is the same! Frenchic gives you something a little bit different, with beautiful, versatile and innovative chalk and mineral paints. From traditional artisan products to our award-winning self-sealing collections, your whole home – indoor and outdoor – is covered. Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml tin will provide less than 6m 2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected. Wood: For interior wood furniture the Original Range is likely to be the best choice. For wooden trimming elements, Frenchics trim paint can be used. For exterior wooden furniture, you should use the Al Fresco range.

If you want to get even more creative, try our Original Artisan Range, which is a traditional non-sealing chalk paint. This means you can play around with different effects and use our sealants, topcoats and waxes to seal or add to your decorative finish.
