About this deal

As time progressed, Huron proved to be an unusually skilled master of the tactical application of firepower. His rise was meteoric from this point on, as he ascended first to the Chapter's 3rd Battle Company and then joined the Veterans of the Astral Claws' elite 1st Company, where his superlative combat skills saw him raised to command other Space Marine Veterans with far more practical experience than he. Maelstrom’s Bite. This replaces a combi-melta with one that gives you a S9 AP-4 D6+2 damage melta with an 18” range on one side and a 2-damage, AP-1 Bolter on the other half. That’s a solid little boost in terms of damage and while you’re not going to put this on a Terminator champion, it can go on a Chosen Champion taking a combi-melta (it can’t go on a Biker champion, since only the non-champion models can take combi-meltas). If this could go on a biker champion, it’d be a nice little play, but on Chosen it’s just not strong enough to include. If you want to run this, put it on a Slaanesh unit, as the ability to turn a failed hit into 2 hits on turns 3-5 makes that high damage extra valuable. B-

The greatest operation during these times occurred during the Scourge Campaign from 640.M41-651.M41, in which the Astral Claws and their allies conducted a series of major combat operations, striking deep into the heart of the Maelstrom in an attempt to take the battle to the foe. Initially the Space Marines were successful, until the abrupt withdrawal of the Charnel Guard Chapter. The Adeptus Terra severed the Chapter's ties to the Maelstrom Warders, dispatching them to the Thanatos Crusade into the Veiled Region. After rebelling against the Imperium and being defeated in the ensuing Badab War, the Chapter's survivors fled into the Maelstrom, becoming the core of the Red Corsairs. As a chapter they have been declared Excommunicate Traitoris and any records of the chapter are marked to be destroyed. [1a] Timeline [Needs Citation] Can it be true, can the Tyrant of Badab yet live, at least in some form by some foul agency? I have seen too many miracles both wondrous and nightmarish to claim it cannot be so. Are we, Mankind, then doomed to be always the father of our own torment, the genesis of our own destruction, time and time again? God Emperor help us - ever has it been so." Perhaps fate would have taken a different path if another had sat on the throne of Badab, but it was Lufgt Huron who watched as the malignancy of the Maelstrom waxed, and his Chapter alone paid the blood price of vigilance. How could such a father of warriors accept the slow death of his Chapter? How could he accept failure? Perhaps in pride, perhaps in desperation, Huron broke with the iron law of the Imperium.Helbrute • Ferrum Infernus Dreadnought • Contemptor Dreadnought • Sonic Dreadnought • Berserker Dreadnought • Hellforged Leviathan Dreadnought • Deredeo Dreadnought Bloodletters • Plaguebearers • Horror of Tzeentch • Daemonette • Nurglings • Beast of Nurgle • Plague Drone • Flamer • Screamer By the end of the 41st Millennia, Huron had amassed a sizable force and had become a major player in the galaxy. Aided by Fateweaver during the Terran Crusade, Huron's lieutenant Verngar was able to capture Roboute Guilliman and his forces on their pilgrimage to Terra. However thanks to the efforts of Cypher, Guilliman and most of the captives were able to escape. [6] Verngar then returned to New Badab with the captured Macragge's Honour in tow, though Huron scolded him for allowing the Primarch to get away. [11] Huron later pursued Verngar as he left New Badab aboard the Macragge's Honour in a search for the relic known as the Ebon Talon. After a temporary alliance, Verngar attempted to use the relic to usurp Huron but was maimed after the two engaged in battle. Huron was able to take the Ebon Talon from Verngar and utilize its power, but not fall under its influence as his attempted usurper had. [11a] By the twelfth solar day Huron could stand and don his Terminator Armour once more. His fanatical followers hailed his recovery as a miracle, but if it was any kind of miracle, it was a dark one.

When the Red Harbinger entered the Galen System, they were intercepted and surrounded by Mantis Warriors vessels. Ever fierce and proud, they were goaded by the Fire Hawks' refusal to allow them to board and threats of reprisal and opened fire, crippling the lone cruiser. He travels throughout the known galaxy, always seeking to create a new version of the Space Marine – one better, faster, stronger, more adaptable. With the rise of Primaris Space Marines, he may now have all the new material he’ll ever need to twist Chaos Space Marines into new forms, finally perfecting his life’s work. By contrast, Alpharius’ novel was a retrospective, showing what shaped him (and them) into what we see later. Huron’s novel was a continuation of what had come before, with him dealing with an internal threat rather than an external enemy. After brutal fighting, Jubal Khan and his honour guard reached Seethnar's heart and caused catastrophic damage to its plasma reactors, but become trapped by collapsing corridors. The Great Khan was captured alive by the Red Corsairs and horrifically tortured for many solar weeks before finally being rescued by a White Scars ambush from the Red Corsairs starship where he has been held prisoner. The two Chapters engaged in fierce combat, but the Mantis Warriors managed to isolate and entrap the Marines Errant 1st and 3rd Companies in the Rust Zones, destroying much of their command structure in a series of murderous surgical strikes. The Marines Errant were decimated and forced to retreat in disarray. After the deadly battle, it fell to Lieutenant Commander Narvaez to mount a rescue mission, in which he succeeded in saving the besieged survivors in a daring counter-raid. He is also accompanied by a semi-intelligent creature of unknown nature which he calls his Hamadrya. The creature never helps its master directly but instead acts as a familiar, allowing Huron access to certain psychic powers. [1] The creature is also rumored to be able to read thoughts and transmit them to Huron, which has allowed him to survive many attempts on his life by assassins. [8] Images
