About this deal

Take the Plunge! has an easy-to-follow structure for you and your students. All activities are clearly signposted and offer a clear-cut learning focus linked to the specification's three stands: Oral language, reading and writing. The transcripts of Plain English lessons are available with interactive translations into your language. In each lesson transcript, we select about one hundred difficult words, phrases , and expressions for translation. Turkish translations are available starting at Lesson 278. How is this different than simply using a translation engine? Translation engines are powerful tools for communicating in the modern world . However, they often miss the context and can either mislead you or leave you confused . Our human translators are here to make sure that you’re getting not only the correct definition, but also the full context . For Kimmy, Stanford was her last hope of not having to go to a college outside of California. Kimmy starts questioning her future, and that's combined with the fear that she and D.J. won't be friends anymore if they don't go to the same college with each other. Not really knowing what to do, Kimmy decides to marry her plumber boyfriend Duane in Las Vegas, Nevada. D.J. thinks that Kimmy getting married at this time would be a mistake, so, hoping to stop Kimmy from getting married, D.J. and Nelson head to Las Vegas. She leaves a note for Danny, explaining her whereabouts, but a misunderstanding leads a frantic Danny to believe that D.J. and Nelson are the ones who are getting married— Comet chewed the note up, and what is left of it makes it look like D.J. is saying she's getting married to Nelson.

Our stellar Teacher's Planner includes two timed, achievable planning options that allow you to choose the approach that suits you: genre-based or thematic. So we use “take the plunge” when you’re hesitant to do something, maybe you’re a little worried about it, you’ve delayed it, but now you’ve committed to doing it. That was like me with hard seltzers. I’ve seen ads for hard seltzers for a few years. I’ve seen people drinking White Claw for a few years, too. I’m in my comfort zone drinking beer, so I’ve never wanted to try hard seltzer.

When Yoko asks Timothy what he will be doing, his drawing has no eyes. But when he answers it does.

emergency - Comes from Latin emergere (e-, "from," and mergere, "to dip, plunge") and first meant "unforeseen occurrence." JR, in addition to producing the lessons, in addition to serving as the celebrity guest bartender for my taste test, JR also chooses one song of the week for every Thursday lesson, and English song at that. And this week he has selected “As It Was” by Harry Styles. This is irrational. I’m sure that after just a few days, I would get used to it, and after a few weeks I wouldn’t even notice it anymore. So should I take the plunge? I don’t know. I’m holding out hope that they’ll release a version this year without the notch. But if all the phones they release this year have the notch, then I guess I’ll have to take the plunge. I’ll have to commit to getting one of these phones after a long—and I mean a long—period of hesitation. The next day, Mrs. Jenkins hangs up everyone's pictures. Yoko comments on Claude's picture of him trying to swim, but as Timothy make a comment, she expresses confusion. The transcript of this lesson is available with interactive translations into Spanish. In each lesson transcript, we select about one hundred difficult words, phrases , and expressions for translation. How is this different than simply using a translation engine? Success criteria and marking schemes for every assignment in the Chart Your Progress Student Journal As do the sizes of the flowers and plants on the corner of Timothy's home throughout the various scenes featuring them. Danny: [to D.J.] Thank God we found you. I can’t believe you’re doing this. Why would you want to get married? And that brings us to the end of today’s Plain English, wrapping up another successful week. Remember this was lesson number 475, so you can find the full lesson resources at PlainEnglish.com/475.
