While we don't see much of the game here, there is one big feature getting shown off which is dynamic weather. This will bring a whole new sense of realism to the game, and create flag-to-flag races where riders can return to the pits and switch bikes. Managerial Career should return for MotoGP 23. This career mode allows players to create their own team or join a real one. You’ll manage every aspect of the team’s strategy, from bike development to hiring staff. MotoGP™23 offers a diverse range of options designed to make the game more interactive – and social as players get the chance to foster their real-life rivalries too! Cross-play*** allows players to race against each other regardless of their gaming platform, while the introduction of Ranked Racesensures fair competition by matching players with others at the same level. Additionally, the beloved 2-player local split-screen** feature makes a return, allowing friends to share a screen and compete side-by-side on the couch. Don't limit yourself to the AI. Challenge other online players and show them who you are. Now thanks to Crossplay nothing can stop you! The dynamic weather is an excellent feature in MotoGP 23. You might start a race with the weather being a touch overcast or even sunny, and after a couple of laps the heavens will open and you’ll be forced to change how you race. With rain pouring down onto the tarmac, it’s easier to lose control. In one of my races in the Career mode, I had the red flags stop the race due to dangerous driving conditions. While it was frustrating as I’d fought hard to take the lead, I like how the real-life elements show themselves.

The haptics on the DualSense are remarkable, with every small bump or terrain change felt, along with gear changes and throttle being felt in the controller. A lot of focus has been put onto how MotoGP 23 performs on modern consoles, and it’s more than noticeable. While there aren’t a ton of modes to choose between, you can still create your own Grand Prix, take part in time trials, and go online against other racers. There’s also a ton of customisable options for your racer, adding a personalised touch to proceedings. To prove you are the best, you need to challenge everyone. Well, now you can. MotoGP 23 features full cross-play* to compete with other players regardless of their platform and console generation. And when the competition is in the same room with you, the Split-Screen mode will help you find out who the real king of the couch is. There's also a new level system in which you'll climb from Rookie to Champion. This gives a great sense of progression, especially with the rewards system which accompanies it.

Career mode has some other new features, too. A new progression system presents Turning Points, which are major milestones on your career that can potentially change its direction. And when you do finally start to compete in MotoGP, you’ll find that you can now take part in Sprint Races, which spice up the racing action somewhat. Overall, it’s undoubtedly the best career mode in a MotoGP game yet. Rain can start at any point, leading to all of the drivers being called into the pits. This is the very definition of throwing a spanner into the works during a race and you'll have to be very careful not to slide off the circuit. In the motorsport world, every decision counts! Influence the trend of a season by planning your career in a way that best suits you. Develop your bike to get increasingly improved performance and also keep the most experienced opponents at bay, win your position on the official team by beating the leading rider, or change teams to prove that what makes the difference is not the bike, but you! Based on what we’ve observed so far when playing the game, most of the features that were introduced in MotoGP 19, 20, 21 also made it in MotoGP 22. We can expect the same in the next installment with improved physics, direct handling, better tire balance, improved graphics, and tons of new content. Despite having a sequence of tutorials, this is a series that still doesn’t help newcomers all that much. This year, the physics have been tweaked to make them more uncompromising than ever. The result is a game in which it’s hard to achieve a sweet spot between realism and accessibility. It’s about time a serious motorbike racing game was released that truly was accessible. MotoGP 23 likes to think it is, but it really isn’t. The result, then, is a game that looks beautiful, has some solid new features, but will only appeal to the hardcore. And that’s a real shame. Discover the new neural aids system that uses artificial intelligence to intervene in the most critical moments of your race and guarantee you a custom-made experience without taking the control of your bike away from you. MotoGP™23 introduces two new features that are set to significantly redefine the game experience by enhancing realism even further.
