The text of this book is clear and concise and contains repetition, focusing the reader to look at the illustrations on each page.

Consenting to these technologies will allow us to process data such as browsing behavior or unique IDs on this site. A good book for Key Stage 1 or Early Years, however, some may find the illustrations a bit dark and more exciting things could have happened during her lifetime. I would not use this with the class as it shows four animals and asks which is the odd one out before suggesting that the 'right' answer is human as it is the only one that does not undergo metamorphosis. This would be great to share with children and to spark conversation about the different life stages that animals and plants go through.

It supports children to understand that if they practice they can improve their ability to balance for a period of time.Thinking about the girl in the story winning the race do the children think she could always run this fast? There are countless tales of giants from all over the world: from Norse, Indian, Mayan, Aztec, Incan, and Greek lore. The book attempts to portray to the reader that as people age they become more "sensible and stable" and this is required in life, especially as the girl becomes a woman to a mother. I had this read to me a lot when I was very little, and I loved the illustrations at the time, all the detail in them.

It shows her at different stages in her life including learning to walk, starting school and getting her first job. What was more interesting than his height was his abnormally elongated head, and disproportionately large torso, in relation to his legs. This story depicts the life of a little girl from being a baby, when her house was populated by giants, to motherhood and becoming one of the giants in her own baby's world.
