About this deal

The intercooler is not meant to have any oil, neither by operational requirements or design. Your turbocharger runs at speeds up to 280,000 rpm, and from your engine lubrication system, it is lubricated by oil. the smell of diesel will indicate failed regeneration and the extra diesel used to perform regeneration has been dumped into the engine sum thus raising oil level and the oil has now lost its viscosity,so the lubrcation properties are diminished .

Thanksdoes the bodge kit come with a collar to insert in the pipe? I wouldn't want to clamp from the outside without one as it will crush the pipe. My local garage is booked up until Feb, and I work from home due to covid. I'm happy to leave it in the drive until they can do it, but he suggested that it isn't even driven to the garage (5 mins away) in case it damages the intercooler. Have i messed up revving it? You will learn some of the causes of oil in intercooler pipe diesel engines. What causes the oil in the intercooler pipe? The turbocharger or supercharger compresses the air, and it increases in temperature, which gets very high. As the temperature increases, the density (oxygen content) falls.

So, when the intercooler cools this air, it allows air to be denser and richer in oxygen to the engine, and this also allows more burning of fuel. Both employees and self-employed workers will pay less in National Insurance from next year, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has announced in today's Autumn Statement.Edit: just realised yours are insignia mk1, mine is mk2 1.6d so I guess that means a different pipe. They really are crap pipes arn't they! Loss of power on holiday showed MAS fault, this has been changed and then I found a split intercooler hose which has been sealed and covered with tape. Now after all the codes were cleared it's now showing DPF permanent fault. I have come here to see if you guys can help me with an issue i have got with my insignia 2.0ltr 170bhp 16 plate cdti. if that's the case then you will have to physically remove the DPF and get it chemically cleaned out .

Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7%

Anyway, I gather the pipe isn't a big job. But the recovery guy was going on about not driving the car with the hose as it is, as the intercooler may fill up with oil, and this may break the intercooler, and then be an expensive job too fix. He suggested I didn't drive it at all.

In this case the connector seems to be ok but the pipe has broken just behind the connector. When I push the pipe you can see the split opening up. Put your jubilee clips on the new pipe, do the bottom one first but don't fully tighten, use the original one to connect to the elbow if its still good, position it so you can tigten it from below so its easier to tighten. I tried taking the car for a drive after the hose was bodged up and the mas was changed and it seems to be going slower. I'm just going to have to wait until Wednesday until the dpf and new hose arrive so I can do a forced regen and try and clear everything.
