About this deal

Hagalaz means “hail,” like the hailstone. Some see it intense like wrath, while others feel it represents being tested and that it could be symbolic of the dark night of the soul. Depending on where you are in your spiritual journey, this could indicate it’s a time for shadow work. Or, that it is a good time to pause and contemplate things from another viewpoint before continuing. It represents the first rune of the next series and the descent into the underworld. To put your body in unusual stress is a great way to achieve shamanic altered states & trance and receive prophesy. Forex. coldness (cold shower, Útiseta “sitting out” in the wilderness in wintertime), Heat (sweat lodge, sauna, desert), etc. Inguz stands for the god Ing. It symbolizes fertility, sexuality, intensity, and the door leading home. It can help with emotional renewal or spiritual healing work. Also, it could represent the buried seed that is being nurtured before it can sprout. Kenaz means “torch.” It essentially means to illuminate something or to take the first step to manifest something into existence. Within the self, it’s the inner light or sense of purpose that drives one forward. When we are without it, we feel like we are fumbling through the darkness. The witches rune is a chant that is used in witchcraft by covens and a solitary witch to raise power. It has sometimes been referred to as the Wiccan chant, but it isn’t exclusive to Wicca. There are many different versions , but here are some sample versions.

Nine mighty songs I learned from the great son of Bale-thorn, Bestla’s sire; I drank a measure of the wondrous Mead, with the Soulstirrer’s drops I was showered.” The Fairy Star, also called the Elven Star, is a 7 pointed star and a witchcraft symbol. It has many meanings. Depending on the tradition and individual, the seven points could mean entrances to the faery-land, seven rays of self-manifestation, or the elements as follows: sun, forest, sea, magic, moon, wind and spirit. You’ll see it in Celtic, Thelemic, Wiccan, and Kabbalist Judaism. Heptagram and Septagram are other names for it.(Photo to the left: creator unknown.) 13. Moon Glyphs This theory seems controversial, but personally, I think there might be some truth in it. If you will study Uthark’s esoteric meanings deeply enough, it will start to make sense. The” Ur” (primeval, “the origin” rune) being the first rune, and the “Fehu” (the goal and reward rune) being the last. Also, we know that ancient rune traditions had multiple layers and that the Nordic sorcerers created several secret rune systems hidden from the public eye. Remember: Positive. You can't do it alone, so form the right and lasting alliances. There may be a business partnership, a marriage, or other team formation. Seek out a partnership if none exists in the matter at hand.

Since the rise of Wicca and goddess-based religions in the early twentieth century, we’ve seen one particular symbol grow in popularity. The spiral goddess. It’s basically the image of a faceless woman with hands raised high, seemingly pregnant and with a spiral on her belly. She represents the Earth Mother, full of life, and bearer of all that is. It’s one of my favorites. 20. Hecate’s Wheel The Wiccan God and Goddess are invoked too, along with other realms of duality: Land and Sea, Sun and Moon. Limrúnar (“healing runes” Uruz, Berkana, Laguz, and Ac. They are also called Liknstafr (“health/healing stave”, and are used for healing work when combined into bind runes). The Vikings used Younger Futhark, which has 16 letters. There are two writing variations of Younger Futhark style, the long branch and the short twig. The long branch style is attributed to Danish, while the short twig is connected to the Swedes and the Norse. The Vikings used both.

Many runes originated at first as part of a written language, though they could be used for other uses. This includes the Futhark and Ogham runes. In more – relatively – recent years, they have been used more exclusively in the art of divination. And, with runes, it is very easy to be able to create your own sets. One can use wood tiles, clay, or write on stone. If you are exceptionally crafty, you could even try making them out of metal. Ehwaz represents the “horse” that allows for messages and communication to occur, for someone to travel between worlds or states, and for steady forward progress. It also symbolizes the harmony and trust between two different beings. Think: The brightness of the sun illuminates all things and chases away the shadows of doubt and depression. The sun helps plants grow and flourish.

One of my favorite divination methods and one that I recommend to beginners is the witches runes. There are a couple different kinds of runes, and sometimes the witches runes get confused with the Elder futhark. But they are MUCH different from one another. Here, I’ll share the history and meaning of witches runes PLUS teach you how to make and read your own set! The Mysterious History of Witches Runes
