Your only bet is to Screencast to the device or try and sideload it, but even sideloading is not guaranteed to work. If there’s one thing that can improve movie night in the summer months, it’s being able to sit out in the garden or bring it over to a mate’s house to enjoy on a big screen with some popcorn and your chosen IPA (ideally having been served from a perfectly chilled beer dispenser). The Maximum Android Experience: The Capsule Max offers better memory and computing power by having 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM working hand-in-hand with its Octacore Processor. It isn’t horribly imbalanced for picture and sound and we can imagine relaxing into a perfectly good mini cinema experience on the go with it.

Where larger projectors may be a pain to install, this one is a charged battery pack and a walk to the viewing location of your choosing away. To log in, I had to use the controller in mouse mode and use the Prime Video app’s on-screen keyboard.You can power a streaming stick through the Max’s USB port, but that can come at the expense of shorter battery life if the power cord is not attached to the projector.

The Max also uses a external power jack that offers a higher voltage charge for faster charging and concurrent charge (viewing movies as it charges). It’s still bright and punchy, but you shouldn’t expect it to be quite as good as it’s dubiously advertised. Again, the Max (at 200 ANSI lumens) is noticeably brighter than the Mini (rated at 100 ANSI lumens) but does not appear anywhere close to twice as bright. As it’s the only 4K recommendation on this list, the resolution is the most pertinent spec to look at. As with most portable projectors, the Anker Nebula Capsule II has a side hustle as a Bluetooth speaker and it will just about out-perform a mobile phone.I found the initial set up a little confusing, and it’s a pity I can’t get cdmi working properly with my Mac, so reverted to uisng a usb stick for displaying photo’s. There are also the power button, the “Bluetooth speaker mode” button and the IR sensor for the remote. While BenQ largely lets you struggle along on the GV1, the Nebula Capsule Max is still fiddly at times but gives you a few control options, and it’s nice enough to pop up a warning telling you if an app doesn’t support the remote. There’s an evenness to the handling of mixed lighting with differences in the reds and oranges and some granular texture to the sand and rocks. It also has an image that can go all the way to 100 inches in size, which is perfect for conference hall or theater-sized presentations.
