About this deal

The MMC was a lot more remote but his signals were clouded due to his more reserved German culture but he kept a mature perspective but was in keeping with the character portrayed.

Emma pours her whiskey and pineapple concoction into one of the travel mugs we use for transporting coffee to morning practice and claps a lid on top. “Me too.” My father retreated into destructive things like alcohol, insane work hours, and a series of flings with women half his age. What’s up, Nat?” I ask, keeping an eye on Anne in my peripheral vision to see if I can figure out which guy she was looking at before. First flight, final fall” reminds me of “Kulti” by Mariana Zapata: The H is a famous german football player, H is training/a part of h work, h is not a part of the team and feels somewhat like an outsider and struggles with her family.

It opens with a FMC who has issues with her family and is very insecure about long term relationships and can’t see herself being with someone for life . This is a theme through the story as she waits for the relationship to end. As it is a single POV it is hard to see the MMC perspective and this is the book’s journey of her transformation. I liked the way it was a gradual story rather than a series of constructed situations. It made the characters feel more genuine. Tension was never overplayed or never felt stilted. If my coaches had been able to get ahold of my father, they probably would have informed him I had heaps of natural talent and a work ethic that put the Energizer Bunny to shame. it’s just so bad, someone please agree with me. i don’t know what else to say. that was such a waste of time, and i don’t want to waste even more time writing a thought out review, so there y’all go.

The Colonial-style cottage serves its purpose: a place to crash between classes, practice, games, and parties. If only any of us had any talents with a hammer or a screwdriver, as there’s an endless list of tasks our landlord never seems to get around to. The only nailing and screwing happening around here is of the non-construction variety. Saylor’s goals have always involved the literal kind constructed from posts and netting. Her single-minded focus has cost her a lot, but it’s also earned her recognition as the top female college player in the US. She doesn’t get attached, she never gets distracted, and she could care less what anyone thinks of her. My brash words are a stretch. I was confident, sure, but Scholenberg is the most exclusive training camp in the world. I wasn’t just competing for admission against the top college-aged players in the United States, but around the world. An invitation is an honor, not a forgone conclusion—something Emma, Cressida, and Anne are all well aware of. Wait, you did? Then why…” Jason’s voice trails off as I wander over to where Anne is standing a few feet away, leaving him with Emma and Cressida. They’re probably speculating about my mood. I liked that the FMC was a strong lead character, rather than a paper-tiger that looked good until a strong breeze. She was strong and true to herself the way we would all want our daughters to be. Her internal dialogue helped the reader keep a balanced perspective. Saylor’s character was so well written. Her drive, determination, and want to be the best athlete and female soccer player was perfect. Soccer was her home when her family couldn’t be. Saylor had a bunch of family and friend stuff to work through in this one, and I didn’t blame her for her feelings. I rooted for her to be the best in all aspects of her life.
