About this deal

As she puts it up for sale, she starts to sense that there's a presence in the home that is not from our world. There are a couple of minor issues with some of the writing- the ones I mentioned earlier but definitely check this one out if paranormal horror is your thing. The jump scares are genuine moments and just going along with the main character uncovering such a disturbing past is horror done right.

Looking to find answers she starts investigating her grandfather's mysterious death but in doing so uncovers the horrific truth and the shocking events of the past. But then it couldn’t resist cramming in jump scare on top of jump scare, so I went back to hating it for the next twenty minutes or so.There are some genuine scary moments and when you realise the actual storyline and how it plays out it's really dark and very sinister. Trista Robinson has a sort of little-girl voice that’s initially really grating, and a habit of not only acting like every creak in the house is a serial killer sneaking in, but of then walking around in the house, in the dark, with her mouth hanging open and a gormless look on her face like she’s a teenager in a Halloween movie just waiting to get murdered.

By the end of it, you’ll be glad you did, because frankly any movie that manages to genuinely scare me enough to make me squeal “Fuck my Life!

Engage with a series of cryptic riddles, guiding your steps through a series of haunting houses, each hiding secrets that echo through the ages.

An annoying lead actress leads us through a story about an old man dying in the shower; his granddaughter and boyfriend move into the property, only to find weird neighbours and even weirder events taking place in the home. Horror has been my favourite genre for decades, but with films like this I think it's time to give up hope.Directed by the team of Brian and Laurence Avenet-Bradley - and filmed in the house that they live in - Echoes of Fear follows Alysa, who has inherited her grandfather's home. It is obvious this is ultra indie work, still Brian and Laurence Avenet-Bradley create a cool, atmospheric thriller. Good grief, why do so many female actors have their mouths gaping open like an idiot in every other scene?
