Oberleutnant Victor Löwenherz, an aristocratic Luftwaffe night fighter pilot and his fellow crew members There is a ‘scene’ in the beginning of the book that plays a ‘minor’ part at the end of the book. It made me wonder if there were more ‘smaller’ scenes that took place in the early part of the book that show up later in the book [regardless of the level of ‘significance’] that I may have missed.

stars for the premise and the strong start, but after the first two chapters, this entire novel fizzles away and collapses completely.
