As to wall board, I reckon 12 mm might be a little thin if you're gonna hang lots off it: that said, I do tend to 'overinsure'. To hang place it flush against the wall and let the frame slide down the wall slowly until the cleats connect together. on the wall (preferably one piece, but may have to opt for several pieces if the wall proves to be too irregular - the wall is plastered blockwork).

Just drill the hole for the mount on a wall, you need a level to drill a parallel hole, then insert screws and tighten it with a screwdriver.
