In January 2020 Laura had a trip of a lifetime visiting NASA in Houston. Interviewing astronauts about the new Artemis mission to return to the Moon, watching astronaut training on a lifesize international space station in the neutral buoyancy lab & even driving a Moon rover! Among her other career highs are being the first person in the world to ride the Smiler roller coaster at Alton Towers, presenting from many farms with lots of naughty animals, modelling hats at Ascot, and presenting the weather with Steve Carell and Kermit the Frog. Now on Good Morning Britain Laura loves to keep viewers informed about everyday weather, severe weather, plus any interesting weather from around the UK and World and adding a little science along the way. Laura is very passionate about communicating climate change to the ITV audience & has presented many items on GMB plus a Tonight special about the changing weather in the UK. In January 2020 she went viral when she challenged Australian MP Craig Kelly about his views on Climate change when talking about the Australian wildfires.

Many years later, she completed a Masters in Meteorology in UCD and then came to the UK to start a career as a weather forecaster with MeteoGroup UK. Three years later she retrained with the Met Office to become a low flying aviation meteorologist working alongside the RAF. Later she moved to the BBC where she worked as a forecaster and eventually a weather presenter for the BBC.
