About this deal

The DA is pressuring the prosecutor on the case to make it go away as quick as possible without any charges. This is possibly one of the only books I have read where I didn't want the two romantic leads to end up together because gosh they were so annoying! Unlike reality, you know that there’s a fair chance these two may finally (fingers crossed) get their act together and put the reader out of their misery. When the case falls on the desk of the DA that Kate works for, she can’t help but become even more entrenched in figuring out who did what and she wants justice for Grant, the boy who died, even if it means one of the other boys will go to jail. Our protagonist, Kate Marino, is a high school senior, an avid photographer and an intern at the local DA's office.

Our Story by Miranda Dickinson | Goodreads

I couldn’t engage with any of the subsidiary characters who seemed to be one dimensional stereotypes. It’s such a great way to learn about everything that led up to the incident and it’s told in so many different perspectives so you don’t actually know what exactly is true or what’s been influenced by the person’s perception! This book has got so much suspense and so many twists that leave your brain racing to try and keep up. It was really fascinating and I couldn't stop guessing and wondering who the killer was the entire time! Her personal connection to the incident, coupled with her role as an intern for the Assistant District Attorney handling the case, inspires her to become a detective in pursuit of the truth behind the killing. There is some humour for a while in the way Joe and Fraser clash heads, each man vying for Otty’s attention but it is short lived.

Our Story by Reginald Kray, Ronald Kray | Waterstones

I loved the fact that it wasn’t like your ‘normal’ love story, there were other things which ran alongside the romantic interests which had me captivated just as much as Otty and Joe did! As she investigates with Stone, the aging prosecutor relying on Kate to see and hear what he cannot, she realizes that nothing about the case—or the boys—is what it seems. This was fine if violence of this nature was controlled and more importantly used in a professional nature such as boxing but the twins loved fighting for fighting’s sake, they would not be told what do or accept any figure of authority. River Point is the estate of John Michael’s parents, a massive property where the boys throw wild parties and go hunting. But their relationship off the page is an entirely different story, and neither of them can figure out why.The incident involved the death of Grant Perkins, one of a group of five prep school boys, known as the River Point Boys. Now, the reason for my rating is because though the book was nerve racking and I devoured it and betrayed my reading buddy I felt that the ending came short. I can understand why the author wanted it this way and it serves the plot well, but it bothered me extremely.

If you don’t have a soufflé-baking, trumpet-blaring, sleigh-riding friend, then maybe it’s time that you met Ms. The background of TV scriptwriting was absolutely fascinating, especially as I’m an author myself so love anything to do with writing. However when put into context they received longer sentences than Dennis Nielson who killed a lot more men in his time than the Krays so it does seem from that point of view they were made an example of. Were the streets of London possibly any safer in that era if you were mugged and went to the Krays instead of the police? Explore the ocean floor and discover the location of Orangebeard's Treasure in this series of adventure stories for kids!As her journey takes her from treetops to glowing underground caves, the Marmabill finds out for herself the true meaning of home. He was a small, dapper bloke who before the war, had been a pesterer – he’d travel round the better-class areas trying to persuade people to sell him their nicknacks, bits of gold and silver, even clothing, which he would then resell for a profit. It was interesting how most every chapter from Kate’s perspective began with a brief text message exchange providing insight to the timeline.
