My car is 2008 so definitely needed this upgrade for the flashers to work correctly, two minute job to fit. Most Piaggio/ Gilera mopeds are fitted with an indicator relay which is built into the voltage regulator unit.

After purchasing my JAL LED rear lights I needed this too… great quality and service. Professional enthusiasts! way they work out how fast to allow flashing is by the wattage of the system. When you fit LED indicators you adjust the wattage of the system and therefore need a new relay to suit (Or fit resistors). Plug and play with my old unit, and now allows me to have LED indicators with having techno speed flashing lights!

LED lights work using a lower wattage than normal bulbs, which is why when you plug them directly in to your existing indicator wiring you'll notice they flash a lot faster than normal and most probably a lot faster than the rate allowed for a UK MOT * Once you know you have the relay it's as simple as wiring your new motorcycle indicators in and plugging in your new relay!
