About this deal

The main advantage of the CompuCleaner is that it only blows air. This means that you can hold it at any angle and be sure that no moisture or deposits will get on your computer components. I found that this was especially useful when cleaning the PSU fan on my computer since I couldn’t take the PSU apart without voiding the warranty. The device comes with three different outlet attachments, but I ended up only using one to clean my computer. With a never ending supply of air at your disposal, it's easy to remove the most stubborn dust from hard to reach and delicate applications This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. The CompuCleaner Original 2 only has one speed setting. There is a more expensive ‘Xpert’ model available, which has two speed settings as well as a 550W motor and a few extra attachments. But, I found that the base model had more than enough power and I ended up only using one outlet attachment to clean my computer. Also, if you need to regulate the force of air that you apply, you can simply move the device closer or further away. This powerful little device is perfect for small jobs that need a powerful dust blower for your pc.

You do need to hold the button, but that's obviously to prevent it from overheating so it makes sense.

Bad Move, Microsoft...

Simply plug the device into mains power and benefit from endless clean and powerful air flow. It never runs out like canned air spray saving you money. Using an upgraded 550 Watt power unit, the Xpert delivers an intense jet of clean and filtered air through its highly directional internal channels and nozzle attachments. This combination of air flow accuracy and pure power enables deeper and more thorough cleaning. Soon to build my first ever PC and figured I should get some practice by dissembling my old PS4 and PS4 pro and cleaning them from top to bottom. I bought this kit in advance (as I didnt really fancy using compressed air) to clean out the dust that I knew would be in the fan and the heat sink (as well as the mobo) but wasnt sure how powerful it would be...but holy smokes it surprised me. I suppose compressed air cans that you buy give more accuracy for more delicate cleaning (especially in tight spots) but the blower featured in this kit did the job more than well. You simply plug it in, and either push the switch on the handle down on one side with your thumb for normal setting (which imo is more than enough) or push the switch the other way for full speed and it sends even old caked dust flying off the components. Also comes with nozzles to increase spread or to focus air being blown into a more concentrated spot which is great for pushing off really hard dust. Normal speed was enough to do the job as full speed made me slightly anxious as to whether it might actually damage components (would encourage anyone to use it with a decent amount of distance away from the component you are cleaning). Brushes are fairly decent too but the main piece of kit is the blower. really worth it. Saves having to constantly buy cans of air The CompuCleaner delivers consistent high pressure for as long as you hold down the power button. However, the motor will heat up if you run the air duster continuously for too long, so it’s best to operate the device in short bursts (in the same way that you would a compressed air can). That being said, I used the CompuCleaner to clean my computer over the course of 30 minutes and held down the power button for up to 10 seconds at a time; I found that the air remained relatively cool and the motor continued to deliver instant high-pressure blasts. Designed for use over short periods, not longer sessions. Another trade off for being compact & powerful.

An electric air duster is an invaluable cleaning tool, especially if you own a lot of electronics. Capable of removing dust from inside keyboards, camera lenses and televisions, electric air dusters are a fraction of the effort of a standard duster, plus they’re much better for your electronics. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. Even if you keep your computer off of the floor, well away from carpets and floor-bound fluff, you’ll likely find that the computer fans are caked in dust. This reduces the ability of the fans to keep your computer cool and manage the temperature of the components. So, to maintain a healthy system, it’s a good idea to give it a dusting every three to six months. The CompuCleaner Xpert is the range topping, dual speed electric air duster from IT Dusters. Meticulously designed and tested in the UK, the Xpert has been engineered to achieve new levels of performance. With more power and control than any other handheld air duster, the Xpert is the ultimate professional cleaning tool. I never give a five star rating...but this was invented twenty years after it should have been and actually works, safely.Pretty much everything above without the sarcasm, it's seriously powerful, cleaned my dust covers/filters better than any compressed air can ever did...without the ten minute delay between all the burst's. Storm Shelter Required: This thing is powerful, I ended up blowing things all over the place on accident THROUGH my 2 foot high 2 foot long PC. Unlike disposable air cleaning solutions, the CompuCleaner will never lose power and is always ready to use. This not only makes it environmentally friendly but will also save you money. No information on usage except for a warning about it getting too hot. A box and a zipper bag of extensions...at least a general use concept for those would've been nice. It has a mains-powered 500W electric motor, which takes in air from a well-filtered intake at the bottom and outputs it as a high-pressure stream. The blast of air produced is surprisingly powerful and certainly comparable to that from a compressed air can—at 0.03m 3/s (70CFM).

The CompuCleaner Original 2 is the latest generation model from the best selling CompuCleaner range. Electric air dusters are either mains or battery powered. Those powered by the mains are a little more faff to use, as you have to navigate a cord, but there’s no worry about battery life. Battery powered air dusters are convenient and easy to use. Most have a run time of under 30 minutes so are fine for small cleans. Speed Settings Despite the name, however, compressed air cans don’t actually contain air, since metal spray cans cannot take the extreme pressure required to store trueliquid air. Instead, they contain a mixture of fluorocarbons that can be stored as a liquid at lower pressure. Its lightweight and robust design houses a 500 watt motor that will never lose pressure and is built to last. Minor issues. Loud, not terrible, good trade off for the power & no more need for use once products. The CompuCleaner runs directly from mains power to produce a powerful and consistent stream of fresh air. Lightweight and robust, the CompuCleaner is perfect for cleaning sensitive electronics, hardware and household items which may be difficult to clean conventionally or hard to reach.

Since I saved so much time cleaning my PC, I figured I would at least spend the time to write a decent review instead of a simple one liner. By replacing the need for disposable air spray cans, the CompuCleaner saves you money and dramatically reduces waste and expenditure in the long run If that little tube doesn't work, I have a lot of metal straws, both with a bend and straight. I will attach one of those to see how it works. That might be more feasible. The lightweight and robust design houses an industrial 500W (0.75hp) motor that will never lose pressure and is built to last Convenience is the word of the day in my book. I'm keeping this baby at the ready by my desk. (Don't laugh, I was thinking of fashioning a holster so I could wear it on my hip like a sidearm. (J/K on the latter.)The CompuCleaner Original 2 electric air duster is an alternative to compressed air cans for cleaning computers. I was completely surprised by just how powerful this little unit is. When it starts the motor spins up so fast you feel the centripetal force generated pushing your hand briefly. Use in combination with the 3 piece ESD brush set for thorough cleaning of even the most delicate parts By replacing the need for disposable air spray cans, the CompuCleaner Xpert saves you money and dramatically reduces waste and expenditure in the long run
