About this deal

Setting up the kayak is fairly straightforward, with the full setup taking about 10 minutes. The included air pump works well, but if you want to increase the inflation speed you may want to upgrade to an electric pump. The Intex Explorer K2 is very light and easy to handle. That’s as long as you’re on those calmer waves – anything stormier or rougher could make it difficult to stay in a straight line. However, the removable barrel that can be inserted into the kayak for extra rigidity and support makes this kayak definitely worth it.

All these inflatable bladders are protected by a tough looking, water-repellent canvas which can be unzipped (or detached from the velcro attachment). This allows access to the bladders so they can be taken out for repair or replacement. On the sides, there are some printed instruction again to remind you of the pressure you need in the bladders. Which model you choose will depend on the differences between each model. The Challenger K2 is longer and more narrow, so it is a little more sleek. The Explorer K2 is wider and shorter than the Challenger, making it a bit more stable. When it comes to choppy waters, it does not perform well there. This has to do with its weight that is very light and even a little tide is enough to push this kayak off course. It should not come as a surprise because for a price like this, you can only get so much. There’s enough space for two people in the Challenger K2. When inflated, it measures 11.5 feet x 2.5 feet x 1 foot and 3 inches. That’s more than enough kayaking space for two people. When folded, the kayak only measures 25 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 9.5 inches deep. When the conditions are favorable, both kayaks are solid. If you run into windy situations, you can expect some difficulty handling the kayak and getting it to go where you want it.Either of these kayaks will be an excellent choice. The kayak you choose depends on what you are looking for and your specific needs. We have found the Explorer K2 is the better kayak. The Challenger K2 is a more budget-friendly choice. The side chambers provide a stable and comfortable platform to paddle from. Paddling is fairly comfortable and efficient, and the craft moves through the water surprisingly smoothly for an inexpensive inflatable. Intex includes an inflation measurement card, but realistically after you inflate the boat a few times you will probably have a good idea just based on feel. Keep in mind that things in the cold shrink and in the heat expand so depending on where you are paddling you may need to add or let out air to keep the kayak at the optimum inflation. The other noticeable difference from a design standpoint is the color scheme. Both are brightly colored and sporty, improving the kayak’s visibility when you are on the water. Improved visibility is essential when you are paddling, and there are motorboats around. Seats That means, if one chamber fails, the other two chambers will allow you to paddle the boat to safety. The color and graphics painted on the boat also enhance its safety feature. It has a bright yellow color with sporty graphics that are visible even from a distance.

Intex is focused on helping preserve the environment so that future generations can enjoy it as well, and has spent the last 10 years reducing their carbon footprint and use of fossil fuels. The Intex Explorer K2 is smaller yet wider than the Intex Challenger K2. The Explorer K2 is one foot and 3 inches smaller than the Challenger K2. It is also lighter at 2.2 pounds. However, the Explorer K2 is wider by 6 inches. The Aqua Marina Laxo 380 inflatable kayak is part of the Laxo range featuring durable polyester hull covers. Just like the Laxo 320 above, the Laxo 380 is built with extra-strong polyester for great durability and rigidity. Kayaking is a popular outdoor activity that many people enjoy. But not everyone wants to spend a small fortune on kayak equipment. If you are a casual paddler or enjoy getting out on the lake now and then, the Intex Challenger and Intex Explorer are excellent options. Intex is famous for their inflatables and has been making inflatable pools, toys, air mattresses, and related products since 1966. The innovative company has more than 30 patents, with cutting edge design, valves, pumps, and attention to detail at every step. Their products are sold in over 100 countries around the world, and their kayaks are certified internationally and meet the standards of the US Coast Guard and the German TUV.Doesn’t inflate as rigid as higher end boats, which makes it slower and difficult to paddle for longer distances.
