About this deal

Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games has announced the leading cast members for its West End run at the Playhouse Theatre.

We were amazed by the continuity of the show. It is a seemless masterpiece putting irish dancing upon a pedestal. Great music too. All the dancing was in perfect step & performed to perfection They've invented a big good versus evil narrative, over-dressed the baddie (excellent Tom Cunningham, fighting the Dark Lord's Darth Vader costume) and thrown in some risque routines. The show was excellent ... Sheer outstanding skill and energy.... Two hours performance wasn't enough for me, I could had stayed there all night, watching more and more and more and more.......... Flatley said, “I’m delighted that London has once again welcomed us so warmly, and to be able to extend the show’s run by moving to the very beautiful Playhouse Theatre makes me feel immensely proud of what we’ve achieved. I am delighted for my dancers that they can continue to perform in this great city.” The show exceeded expectations. Loved it real feel good show. Only fault was it finished could have watched forever. All cast are amazingBut as i asked information of why he didn't attend i got given false information stating that there was notices up in the Theatre that he was not performing. .

In 2014, Flatley created Dangerous Games, a revised spinoff of Lord of the Dance. While maintaining 50% of the numbers from the original show, new numbers were introduced, featuring dancing robots, new songs, new music by Gerard Fahey, and rescores of Ronan Hardiman's pieces. You can expect spellbinding stuff as the dancers weave a fascinating good versus evil tale inspired by traditional Irish folklore. The second the lights dim you'll be transported to another time and place. A fiery blend of precision dancing, so skilful you'll be left breathless, state of the art lighting and thrilling pyrotechnics makes this a brand new classic in the art of stage storytelling. After all, he exploded onto the Eurovision dance floor in Dublin in 1996 with his version of traditional dancing that blew everyone away. I personally think they could of gave us an offer of swapping the show date that i attended for a different day in which Michael Flatley were to perform..Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is directed by legendary Irish dancer Michael Flatley and tells the mythical story of a Lord who must fight dark forces threatening a futuristic world. The production contains dance, live music composed by Gerard Fahy, singing, acrobatics and even holographs. With all the visceral precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games features new staging, new costumes and mesmerising new choreography. I understand his father had passed away and was attending his fathers funeral in Chicago so therefore he couldn't make the show . . An amazing couple of hours entertainment, the dancing amazing, costumes brilliant. A real tonic and a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Would defo recommend to anyone. Gerard Fahy's music is big and Rachael O Connor has some swooping soul-influenced numbers as Erin the Goddess.
