About this deal

Luckily for Daisy it’s her Grandparent money she will be spending, and she LOVES unhealthy food, as we will see throughout this book.

This is a fantastic story about the relationship between Daisy and Jack, with all their misunderstandings and quibbles. I think many readers will be delighted to see that Jack is going to star in his own book, “Jack Beechwhistle: Attack of the Giant Slugs,” and, as always, Daisy is a delight.

My favourite character was probably gabby because she is a really good friend and daisy’s best friend . Daisy is off to the fair with her Grandparents, her mother is is very anti-funfair, and think’s it’s a waste of money and full of unhealthy food. He has won numerous awards for his picture books, including the Sheffield Children's Book Award and the 2001 Children's Book Award.

It is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone over 5, even adults would enjoy listening to Daisy's adventures. Daisy is usually happy with her strawberry Dip Dab lollies or Crunchy Cream biscuits, but when Easter comes round, it's all about chocolate. Kes Gray and Nick Sharratt’s boisterous, quick-thinking young heroine is irrepressible however – one of the reasons readers love the stories about her so much – and she still ends up having her chocolate and eating it.She gets frustrated and displays behaviour that might leave an impression on the target audience and cause problems for them. You absolutely can't go anywhere at all when you're grounded, so Daisy has plenty of time to think about what she's done. The BRAND NEW laugh-out-loud new Daisy adventure, from bestselling author of the Oi Frog series, Kes Gray. After each disappointment, Daisy becomes more and more frustrated and angry but her cross feelings can be eased somewhat by a mountain of food. Garry’s illustrations have accompanied the words of many prestigious picture-book authors, including Kes Gray, Ian Whybrow and Peter Bently.

Nick Sharratt has written and illustrated many books for children including Shark in the Park, You Choose and Pants. The trouble with Jack bears an interesting resemblance to the trouble with Daisy, and by reading this book I have learned a considerable amount about both of them and about giraffes too. I would recommend this book to a person who wants to know about snakes and a person who s interested in Daisy books. In a nutshell: Daisy discovers there’s such a thing as too much chocolate |The combination of chocolate, more chocolate and being asked to look after the class hamsters over the Easter holidays proves too much for Daisy (from an adult perspective anyway) and boy, does she get herself into hot (chocolatey) water. In the first story from Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches in 6 years Mildred Hubble is about to learn to be careful what you wish for.

As usual, for World Book Day, there are some smaller versions of books released which act as great ‘tasters’ for children, to allow them to try out different authors. Daisy has got into lot of trouble, she is grounded because she ate a germy strawberry dib-dab from the pavement floor a strawberry dib-dab is a candy that Daisy loves she stays inside the house until her mum says " You are not grounded anymore. When fairy tale obsessed Lottie Pumpkin starts at the infamous Rosewood Hall, she is not expecting to share a room with the Crown Princess of Maradova, Ellie Wolf.Fans of Daisy will also enjoy Wendy Meddour’s Wendy Quill stories, or Kate Pankhurst’s Mariella Mysterieswhich also star determined little girls with big imaginations. The darts don’t fly straight on the dart game, the hoops are not the right size to go over the stands at the tombola, there is no goldfish game anymore (animal rights issues!
