About this deal

Well, yes, there is. We've had a brief look at the popular Cadac system before, and now there's an alternative: the Campingaz Party Grill. What you get with the Party Grill It's lightweight when in its bag, making it practical to take for days out, such as to the beach. Cooking Versatility Given the opportunity, we love to cook by flame when outdoors. Unfortunately, that's not always possible or practical. Measuring at a width of 360 millimeters, a depth of 360 millimeters, and a height of 420 millimeters, this compact grill is ideal for transportation and storage. The Party Grill 400 is designed with three legs, providing stability during use. However, it does not have castor wheels for easy mobility.

One thing I love about the Party Grill is the piezo ignition, which means you don’t need matches or a lighter to get it started. Every year, no matter how many lighters or matches we take with us, our camping trips always seem to end with all 10-15 of us sharing one lighter - a nightmare! Both grills have temperature control to give you more flexibility whilst cooking, and they also both come with a handy carrier bag. All the cooking components look and feel like good quality - the only thing that lets the Party Grills down are their plastic ignition cases, which looks and feels cheap, and the casing kept opening up slightly. This was especially true on the 400, and the clips that keep the whole thing together kept coming apart as well. This was a worrying flaw that made me distrust how secure the lid was whilst transporting it. While the Party Grill 400 does not have a built-in capability, its simplicity and portability make it a practical choice for camping trips, picnics, and other outdoor activities. The grill's construction ensures durability, with premium materials used to enhance reliability over time.

If you've been browsing camping shops recently, you may have seen the new Campingaz Party Grill 600. When I looked at it, I thought it looked like a great kit for family camping. Fortunately, our friends at Campingaz agreed and sent us a sample to review. So, if you can't have a campfire or BBQ, is there anything you can take camping that will give you a lot more cooking options than just a camping stove? So, what do you get? Well, it comes in a large box, and a little bit of assembly is required. Watch our video below that shows how to assemble the Party Grill. Ideally, when camping, you want the same bit of kit to do many different things to reduce the amount of stuff you need to take. The 600 has all the same features as the 400 (minus the wok lid) but on a much larger scale. The legs are twice the length, which brings the grill to a comfortable standing height. There is also a blue plastic tray that hooks between the legs, making it more sturdy and providing a small table.

Equipped with a lid, this grill allows for versatile cooking methods such as grilling, stir-frying, and boiling. Unfortunately, it does not have an adjustable thermostat, so users may need to monitor heat levels closely. The biggest difference between the two grills is the size and power. The 600 is a lump to carry about, 10.72 kg, but it provides loads of cooking space (52 x 99 cm on the stand) and serious fire power of 4000w. This firepower means less time waiting for the kettle to boil - a 2.5lt full kettle only took eight minutes – but this increased heat also means you will get less burn time from you fuel sources: 9hrs 30mins on R907 and 6 hrs 15mins on R904, compared to the 400’s 12 hrs and 30 min on R904 and 19 hrs and 30 min on R907.
