The A10 have a very natural, fresh tonality and head stage, with good width and depth. The focus on the midrange, with a recessed lower frequency response permits a perceived sense of depth and positioning, and allows for good separation - it's easy to separate instruments and locate exactly where they are around you. I tested with a number of different genres and found imaging to be very accurate throughout. Despite the clean nature to the sound signature, trebles are not too bright - there's texture and finesse to tams, shakers and cymbals, without ever sounding shrill or edgy. Outdoors, it's a similar story - in relatively sterile environments, your calls will be fine, but add wind and traffic to the mix, and dealing with multiple sources of obfuscation is more challenging. This is especially noticeable with high-pitched instruments such as trumpets or violins. Just like with bass, transients are not really fast, and detail is limited as well.That’s why I can keep the Monitor 80 for hours with no fatigue, but the OneOdio A10 will require constant breaks from listening to music. About the earcups, they’re not too tight and form a proper seal around the ears even if the cushions aren’t very large. Still, if my ears were able to be covered, then there is nothing to complain about in this case. The material that OneOdio chose is faux leather which makes them suitable for most conditions, but what about while working out. Also, you have an ANC button that always goes into a passive mode (off) whenever coming from ANC or transparency mode; hence, you cannot switch between these two extremes with a single button press; you require two.
