About this deal

Occasionally there are delays. We shall not be liable for any direct or indirect losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by you or any other person for any delays in delivery. If you’re looking to build a linking kit or attach some hose to your tank or water butt, this Hose Tail is also suitable for use with our 20mm I.D. / 25mm O.D. Extension Hose. Most water butts are supplied with a stand and can be placed on the ground in the corner of the garden. However, some water butts can be mounted on an external wall, a good option for smaller gardens where ground space is precious. You can also run guttering from a shed roof into a water butt as an efficient way to harvest rainwater – if you don't have one in your garden, you might find our comprehensive guide to the best garden sheds useful. As shown in the image below the Hose Tail can be placed through a pre-drilled connection point with an inside diameter of 20mm:

Head" is not very much - the height of the water level in the butt. Maybe 3'? That's not enough to provide much pressure. Must admit that I haven't properly understood what you are trying to do with the hose, but I presume attach it to the tap on the water butt and then ... what? Let it flow out of the hose at a level lower than the tap on the water butt? or something else. Parcels/deliveries can only be "left out" if the delivering company allows that option. Parcelforce, for example, do not allow a parcel to be "left out". Ive only marked it poor as it wasn't long enough so i had to buy a longer one, would be an idea to offer different lengthsOnce you have pushed the hose tail through the connection point, the washer and nut can be screwed on from the inside as shown in the image below:

Place your water butt next to the downpipe and cut through the downpipe a few centimetres below the top of your water butt. The tap - pathetic diameter, so low-flow. How long does it take to fill a 10L watering can if you put it under the tap - a minute? more perhaps? Use the Harcostar Waterbutt Overflow kit when your downpipe is connected straight into water butt lid and you are not using a rain diverter kit. Personally I wouldn't even fill a watering can via the tap, whiling away my life waiting for it to fill each time. I have a large galvanised circular tank as a water butt. It has a lid, but slid halfway-off, or removed, I can dunk to watering cans at once and they will within a couple of seconds. Water Butt Hose - 26.5mm id x 32mm od (per Metre)

I've recently got a water butt in my garden which is working fine. But I'm having an issue connecting a hose pipe to it, when i do it either spills out of the top or doesn't generate enough pressure to get the water to the end of the hose pipe. Can anyone advise me if there is something i should be doing which I'm currently not. I use the tap to join a hose to the next waterbutt so that they maintain level. I don't care how slow that is, by "tomorrow" they will all have the same level again. On a similar basis - you usually have a header tank in your loft for you to have enough water pressure (gravity drop) to feed a shower - unless you have a pump on it. By collecting rainwater in a water butt, you can conserve water while keeping your garden well-maintained and healthy.
