About this deal

Don't wait in! We'll drop you a text the day of your expected delivery by 4pm and let you know a 2 hour delivery window Hop House 13 was developed as part of a bid to cash in on the growing demand for craft beer. The beer was created as part of Diageo’s “brewers’ project” at St James’s Gate in Dublin and took an almost immediate 3 per cent share of the market locally. It also performed well initially in Britain and became one of the top-selling beer brands there. Jai Singh, of MJ’s Go Local in Sheffield, said of the decision: “Hop House 13 was a good product for customers to try if they’re used to lager but wanted to transition to craft beer. We’re surprised by Diageo’s decision to delist the line as it’s popular in our store, and there isn’t anything on the market that quite compares. The Guinness spin-off – which Diageo launched in 2015 in a bid to cash in on the craft beer boom – has been delisted by its parent company and is set to disappear from supermarkets, pubs and bars, according to reports by The Grocer. It will continue to be sold in Ireland and other markets.

Registered Office: 11 Angel Gate, 326 City Road, London, EC1V 2SD. Registered in England and Wales, No. 454555 Guinness has said it has no plans to stop selling Hop House 13 in Ireland after the brand was last week discontinued in Britain. Confirming the move, a Diageo spokeswoman said it had undertaken a review of its beer portfolio and “taken the strategic decision to prioritise the main Guinness trademark in Great Britain”. Look: Orange, yellow clear colour. Bubble going up. About haft finger of white heard. Nice retention on the glass Feel: light to medium body, light to medium carbonation also. Easy drinking but you have the hoppy IPA taste, not use to it on a lager.MyHome.ie (Opens in new window) • Top 1000 • The Gloss (Opens in new window) • Recruit Ireland (Opens in new window) • Irish Times Training (Opens in new window)

Guinness is going to discontinue its craft brand Hop House 13 in the UK, a spokeswoman of Diageo confirmed on Thursday. The brand will still be available in Ireland, Northern Ireland and other markets. Hop House 13, a double-hopped lager brewed with barley, Guinness yeast, Australian Galaxy and Topaz hops, and American Mosaic hops was initially launched in Ireland in 2015 in a bid to cash in on the craft beer boom. Initially, the brand performed well and was soon also launched in other markets including the UK, where it became one of the fastest-growing beer brands. Diageo has announced it’s delisting Hop House 13 in the UK in all supermarkets, pubs, bars and convenience stores. Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade. The Guinness spin-off– which Diageolaunched in 2015 in a bid to cash in on the craft beer boom– has been delisted by its parent company and is set to disappear from supermarkets, pubs and bars. It will continue to be sold in Ireland, Northern Ireland and other markets. Hop House 13 Lager is not like every other lager. Made by the same people who brought Guinness to the world, this Irish delight is brewed with local barley, a cosmopolitan selection of hops from Australia and the USA, and the exact same yeast used for its darker, older sibling. Hop House 13 was launched in 2015 following a successful trial in Ireland and aimed to help retailers target premium lager drinkers who were looking for an enhanced taste that lager offers.
