Ng, Philiana (November 11, 2014). "James Wolk to Star in CBS' Zoo". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved November 12, 2014.I've also read criticisms of the manner in which the main character's love interest is described and later relegated to a mommy role. Okay - while I understand the criticism, the reality is that the story isn't about Mrs. Oz. Perhaps the authors tried to balance this by making the fictional U.S. president female, but who knows. Personally, the issue is quite minor. Had some of the critics read other James Patterson books, they would realize the male and female characters in his stories are usually multi-dimensional, and their human appearances, emotions and behaviors are independent of their gender. In Patterson's series about the genetically altered "bird children", the protagonist is an incredible teen female with courage that I can describe only as inspirational. In short, don't allow this minor detail in a single story lead to incorrect assumptions. I couldn't get over the writing style. Is James Patterson a famous author because he writes in such a sophomoric, simplistic way, it makes stupid people feel smart? Sorry if that offends, but that's how I felt the entire time I was reading Zoo - James Patterson writes for idiots.

Goldberg, Lesley (November 26, 2014). " 'Game of Thrones' Alum Nabs Key Role in CBS' Zoo (Exclusive)". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved November 27, 2014. The bright animal drawingsprovide more informationto the reader and 'clues'.Each animal is presented in a different way (e.g.a crate, box, basket),and each child can see a glimpse of the animal to enable them to predict whichanimal it might be. It's an entertaining book and every teacher’s worst nightmare of loosing children at the zoo. It would be a great bedtime read for younger children. The illustrations are very good and detailed. Tek' and his family are the otters that Susan and Richard met in "Enid Blyton's Animal Lover's Book.' This beautifully illustrated picture book features a simple narrative, limited text and repeated refrains, making it ideal for younger learners to follow and join in with.

Julia was born in March in 1948. She studied English and Drama at Manchester University and became a qualified teacher. Im jungen Erwachsenenalter kam dann eine unstillbare Leidenschaft für Katastrophenthriller, Wissenschaftsthriller, Romane über Umweltkatastrophen und biologisch/chemische Unfälle u.ä. dazu. Gerald Durrell the famous animal trapper, author, conservationist, and founder of the Jersey Zoological Park spoke about the caging of wild creatures and defended his position by explaining that the captives are protected in a safe environment. He went on to demonstrate how an animal when released from its cage took a good look round before returning to its 'home' voluntarily. If the enclosure is roomy he might have an argument. Having said that, I've observed parrots sitting in small cages with a perch and little else. What a life that would be, but perhaps an animal psychologist would say it's all right although I'm sure a human would go crazy in such an environment. The 'Horned and the Hoofed' includes an animal that " ... most people know the best ... " which of course is the reindeer because Santa Claus supposedly uses this species to pull his sleigh along. The Springbok, Gnu, Eland, Elk, Chamois and Ibex are dealt with and if the Gibbon is Master of the Trees, then the Ibex and one or two other breeds of goat could be labeled Masters of the Mountains. They have extraordinary powers that allow them to traverse sheer cliff-faces that would give us the Willies. Watch a few of these animals and you'll get some idea of how 'Snowy' was able to go where no man has gone before. Andreeva, Nellie (January 15, 2015). "Kristen Connolly & Billy Burke To Co-Star In CBS Series Zoo". Deadline Hollywood . Retrieved January 30, 2015.

The Big Cats are covered of course and the reason for their long whiskers is set out for us just as it would be a decade later in a nature series entitled 'Round the Year with Enid Blyton' (Autumn edition). Fascinating facts are revealed to us about the Lion and Tiger, Leopard, Jaguar, Puma, Ocelot, Lynx, Caracal, and Wild Cat and let it be said that Wild Cats in England are actually domestic cats either turned out of their home, or those that have simply wanted to get out and about to follow their natural instincts. "The real wild cat is rarely to be found" in Britain. I'm not sure which is the worst facet of this festering heap of detestableness, but I could break it down into a few headings of horrible:
