About this deal

The Uniden UBC-125XLT airband radio has a wide range of frequencies to listen to airband , military and other popular airwaves. Utilising Uniden's 'Close Call capture' this scanner will log into the strongest signal and allow you to instantly listen to the conversation. The thing that I am confused with though is that the Watson states a frequency range of 25 - 1900MHz, whereas the Nagoya states only 144/430MHz. Some of the frequencies I receive are below 144. Will the Nagoya still work well with these?

That Nagoya one is no good, its an amateur radio one for 144 and 430 MHz only. If you are only interested in civil airband then go for an aerial that does just that. Wide band ones aren't as good. Let's face it what is not digital these days that can be received on a scanner, only civil and military airbands to be honest. also ensure you install the Scan125 according to the Driver Installation Instructions and the ProgramNEW - Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, frequency coverage from 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225-512MHz and 806-960MHz with 5/6.25/8.33/10/12.5KHz frequency steps.

Uniden UBC 125XLT is a quality handheld scanner in a stylish compact design that is made from robust materials. Uniden UBC 125XLT is designed for indoor and outdoor activities in the professional world. The programmed channels are grouped into 10 Banks with 50 channels in each. In this way Uniden UBC125XLT is very easy to use once the interesting frequencies are programmed. Uniden UBC 125XLT has Close Call and 10 preset frequency bands with e.g. Maritime, Air traffic, CB channels and PMR446 frequencies. This radio scanner also contains a wealth of opportunities to manually stop the scan, skip to the next active channel etc To receive civilian aircraft transmissions you will need a scanner that has a frequency range of 108-137Mhz. If you want to listen to military aircraft transmissions then you will need a scanner that has a frequency range of 225-400MHz. You should also set the scanner to the AM mode (Amplitude Modulation). if the coverage is wider than the 230's (with mil air) why give us less memory?! Mil air cries out for fast scanning of loads of channels. Seems like it was designed by engineers who don't really scan much. Note this charger only comes with a 2 pin EU plug, so you will need to use it with a EU plugadapter (eg shaver adapter).

After installing the driver the scanner should be listed as either a BC125 or UBC125 in the Windows device manager. This indicates the driver was properly installed. After installing the driver the ARC125 software should recognize the scanner. The Uniden SDS200E mobile/base scanner has the same features as the handheld version SDS100E, plus some extra enhancements. It is powered by either 12V from your car or using the supplied 12V mains adapter. You can have a group as large or as small as you like. If you want to add the 8 PMR446 channels, you don't need to waste a whole bank of 50 just for 8 channels. Like the scan feature on your car stereo, the Uniden Bearcat EZI33XLT+ also features a control feature that enables the user to control the scan process - including starting and stopping searches, as well as jumping to the next channel.

Some of the bands covered by scanners are: Aircraft, Marine, Amateur Radio, Taxis, 2-way radios, Motor Sport, etc. An original Uniden charger for use with various scanners, including UBC60XLT2/3, UBC120XLT, UBC220XLT, UBC280XLT, UBC3000XLT. I also support the import/export of Butel ARC125 format files so whatever you have already programmed can be easily imported. In addition to the frequency selection the more expensive scanners often allow you to switch the mode between AM & FM. On the cheaper ones this is often done automatically and you can not change it. The UBC125XLT has a good-sized screen and a keypad as well as many different features such as 'Close Call' which will detect nearby signals. The Radioworld R-881 Super Gainer is the one to choose for really long distance reception. High quality Upgraded engineering and ergonomic design ensure that it is the natural replacement for those seeking to extend their receiver’s range. * 25 - 1900MHz * 41cm long * BNC Connector, If you like the Watson W-881, then you will love this. Ideal for the UBC125 UBC75 or UBC3500 and other BNC & SMA connector scanners alike!, Ham Radio Shops.

A: A list of resources can be found at https://info.uniden.com/UnidenMan4/ScannerManuals#Other_Resources With this scanner you can program in your frequencies by connecting the scanner to a computer. Below are some software links for the Bearcat UBC125XLT:A compact amplified speaker ideal for use with handheld radios such as scanners, Amateur & CB, where the output from them is not powerful enough to drive a normal speaker. A: All of our scanners with native USB just plug and play with Windows 10. For older models (i.e. “XT” or “X” models) that have a serial connection, older USB-1 cables will not work, as Prolific changed their drivers several years ago to only work with their newer chipset that has anti-counterfeit features. At that time, we changed the chipset in our USB-1 cables. So, if you have an older USB-1 cable it won’t work with Windows 10 (or really w/8 using current drivers). Newer (last couple of years) cables will work. Went for the Watson W-889 Tele-Gainer in the end, very similar to the 881, but telescopic, making it a bit more portable. Had to choose something, my head was spinning with all the options. The .grp group file can be shared with the new ProgBC Uniden Programmer to program Uniden DMA scanners (BCT15(X), UBC3500XLT etc) with the same group profiles. I believe tat your program works 110% as expected just me that was probably not doing something correct. I just decided to buy a copy of the arc125 software for my scanner.
