About this deal

Easy to customize. If you have a peanut allergy you can always swap the peanut butter out for another nut or seed butter. The options are really endless - see the substitutions section below. I swear, no matter how many times I eat these frozen banana chocolate bites I can never get my head around how on earth they're healthy! Something magical happens when you freeze bananas and you'll know exactly what I'm on about if you've ever tried my healthy four-ingredient soft serve. The texture changes from fine-but-nothing-special banana to a lush and creamy ice cream-like texture. Seriously! If you love your food, then why not come and join the online Girl Eats World community for more delicious content?

Step 2. Spoon about ½ - 1 teaspoon peanut butter into each pitted date, depending on the size of your dates. Finally, sprinkle peanuts and if you are making a banana sandwich, top up with another banana slice on top. FreezingUse sweet bananas: They should be ripe but firm so you get the sweet taste and creamy texture. Unripe bananas won’t be sweet enough, and overripe may be too soft. Freeze: Place muffin tin in the freezer and freeze for 2 hours. Once the chocolate has set and the bananas are firm, carefully pop the frozen banana bites out by pushing from the bottom of each mold. Enjoy! Additions - if your nut or seed butter is creamy, you can sprinkle peanuts, nuts, seeds, or flaky salt on top.

First, the nougat: Cashew butter and maple syrup combine with vanilla and salt for a creamy, flavorful base, while coconut flour adds structure. Peel the bananas and slice them into the shape you want. Here I slice each large banana into 4 even pieces. Once they’re frozen, transfer to an airtight container or freezer-safe bag and keep frozen for up to 3 months. Then the caramel and nougat mixtures join forces! We mix them just a bit so each completed bite has dreamy swirls of both. Next, it’s time to roll! if you make one of my recipes, i would LOVE to see your creation! be sure to leave a review in thecomments section, it is so appreciated and helps my small business.

Melt chocolate: Add chocolate chips and coconut oil to a small pot. Set burner to low heat and cook until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Alternatively, you can add them to a microwave-safe bowl and melt in the microwave. Coconut oil, optional: Coconut oil is completely optional--it just makes the chocolate sauce a little smoother, and shinier when it cools. But skip it if you’re oil-free. I usually cook oil-free, but make a few exceptions if the occasion calls for it.

What caramel sauce should I use?

But now I really appreciate it since I’m older and wi--well I thought I was getting wiser but I’m actually just getting more gray hair. Flaky sea salt, optional: I love to add a little sprinkle of flaky sea salt for that extra something. Salt really brings out the flavor in chocolate. But skip it if you don’t have any. Natural peanut butter - I use crunchy peanut butter for the extra texture but you can also use creamy if you'd like. Just make sure the only ingredients in your peanut butter are peanuts and salt - many jars have added sugars and oils. Peanut butter: any nut or seed butter could be used instead of peanut butter. We have used smooth but feel free to use crunchy ones to get the extra crunch.
