It's a fabulous looking 4K presentation, up there with the best of the best, at least in terms of classic cinema released in the new format. Top Gun comes to US 4K Ultra HD Blu-rayjust a couple of weeks before its likely identical UK counterpart, with an absolutely stunning native 4K presentation forthis Ultra HD Blu-rayrelease.

Adding in that absolute classic 80s soundtrack bursting with memorable tracks, a slew of supporting roles for early familiar faces ( E.While she spends her time writing and editing articles about the entertainment industry, Maggie’s background is actually in history and anthropology and she loves when she can bring the two facets of her life together. The second bit of good news is that it carries over nearly all of the previously-created content (in addition to the extras listed above). If sound was ever vital to any film it's Top Gun; the picture's soundtrack is legendary and the dogfight sequences demand high power audio. Danger Zone is, of course, the terrific multi-part documentary created by Charles de Lauzirika for the 2004 DVD release. When Maverick arrives at Viper's home, the foley effects of Viper's wife walking away are oddly louder or more audible than the rest of the action within the scene.

We reviewed the US Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Top Gun on an LG 55B7 Dolby Vision 4K Ultra HD OLED TV with a Panasonic DP-UB450 Dolby Vision HDR10+ 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Jets engines pan in from behind and above as enemy aircraft fly into view on screen, then move around the soundstage with the imagery, and pan away again. Optional audio is also available in German, Spanish, Latin Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian 5. Kosinski, and that film's cast discuss the original's impact and legacy, its style, favorite scenes and cultural quotables, and more.

While Bruckheimer starts to get a little par for the course, the Navy guys provide plenty of substance. For a plot based on an article about the Fighter Weapons School in Miramar, the script is very well-written with a concise and terse story that remains just as entertaining thirty-four years later. Top Gunenjoys a fabulously immersive object-based 3D High Definition audio track in the form of Dolby Atmos, which - as with the video - stuns right from the opening beats which, for any fan, will draw you right in. the stage in the action scene to end the film while missiles zoom and planes explode with impressive movement and depth, respectively.
